Re: I hate getting ripped off

Update- Yesterday I was about to go in and demand a refund, then after thinking ab out it, I decided to give him the option of fixing the mower as he promised or giving me my money back. I said the dude told me it would start with one or two pulls and Ive been pulling that cord all weekend and it aint starting. It was a different guy, I think it was the boss, He said "well, I would like to keep it until tomorrow and make it right for you". So I will go and get it in a little while. In the meantime, I orders a Fiskars push mower from amazon and hope to be getting it today. I figured mowing my lawn is better cardio than a treadmill
Check this baby out. I should burn a lot of fat mowing a couple acres with this lol

Yes, I did my research on these mowers and this is the best one. 60% easier to push than the old kind. It was $190. I have a lot of lawn to mow so we shall see how it goes with this thing. At least I will have the power mower as a back up in case I poop out on this lol As I continue to plant more grass, Im going to have to get a tractor but I want to do as much as I can as part of physical training. I cut an acre of weeds sunday with a weed wacker. that was intense. My neighbor does everything from the seat of his john deere tractor and I am out there doing everything by hand tools. lol Bu tthats why I am in shape and he aint lol

Well, I went to pick it up and the girl said they had been working on it a long time, but made sure I knew they werent going to charge me anything since I had to take it back in. She said they will call when its done . I guess there was more wrong than they thought but it sounds like they are going to fix the whole damn thing LOL...Must be because I wasnt a dick about it lol I hope I get it back tomorrow because with the super tall grass now, that push mower is a butt kicker. The push mower is going to be great, but not for tall grass

Re: I hate getting ripped off

I had a guy sell me a riding mower for $400 I knew it was used ended up finding out he had caulked the carburetor so it wouldn't leak and then the starter went out. Long of short of it I took it back dropped on his lawn and basically gave him one option. I understand things go wrong but when I take it to a mechanic and he says I was ripped off its all about principle for me no matter the money. I got my money back and he was taught a lesson. Get your money back

I'd love to have one of those mowers you posted the pic of!

Man you paid your money and he made you a promidse. I think he should either fix it right or gove you cash back. You don't do business like that to peole. If you agree on a price and condition a man should keep his word imo.

Re: I hate getting ripped off

well lucky for me I haven't and don't take things for others to work on I do them myself.. from working on my super duty diesel to my lawn mowers..

I wouldn't know who I would trust to take my stuff to to get worked on I do it myself bc most of the time they feed you bull shit and most don't know the difference.

case in point I own a 06 ford super duty with a 6.0L diesel which are very known for blown head gaskets while truck was under warranty truck started to blow white smoke out took into the shop and the local dealer said its a diesel its supposed to smoke. then I took it back and they said its humidity in south fl causing it to smoke. so I start to cuss the service manger on the phone and he tells I cant talk to him that way so I said ok hung the phone up and drove down there and finished our conversation and told him he was as dumb as ford if they think humidity is causing the truck to smoke.. week later they found the head gaskets blown..

the thing they didn't know I was the service manger of a heavy duty truck shop and I have worked on heavy duty diesel engines and built 18 speed transmissions for heavy duty truck most don't know that so they tell people bull shit like that..

if I was closer I would fix it for you dzone.. showing my son now how to fix a push mower now...
