I competed for the first time yesterday in a regional level competition. All I can say is wow what a blast and awesome experience. I placed first in the true novice and 1st in the light weight 35+ masters (by default). I was pissed about the masters because there was no one else in my division... That all went away when I stepped on stage in the masters overall and beat a 200+ pound beast who had taken out 4 other very decent heavy weight competitors. It was very close up front and he def had size on me. I had condtioning on him and took him out with my back and hamstrings. Brought home 3 first place trophies. Such a blast and am stoked to start getting ready for next year. I've said it multiple times and will say it again... I absolutely would not have achieved the level of conditioning and do what I did without guns and the support from his family. I would also not be here without this awesome board baby and fuzo have provided. Thanks FG! Guns, once again you are the fricken man and a great friend. Much love to you and your family. I will post some pics when I get them.

Re: My first competition
i will air it out there and i dont compliment very many people on legs but gusto's legs and back are stupid nasty. my biggest knock on competitors is their lack of either leg development and or leg conditioning but gusto nail them both downTGBSupplements REP

THIS is key right here guns. The hardest part of advising, teaching etc, is to stay on those who don't take our advice. that's a big challenge and when we find someone who does, it is so gratifying and makes you feel good. You did awesome guns!Veritas Vos Liberabit

Re: My first competition
Congrats Gusto!!! Awesome brother, feels good doesn't it!?!?! Guns I know what you mean, when I got Nikki ready for her first shows last year and she took 1st in her Open Figure division, I had more satisfaction watching her succeed than doing well myself in my shows. She too was just an awesome pupil. I love coaching and mentoring!!! Great job again Gusto, proud of you brother!!! God bless!!!
