Re: Biggest Loser Scandal: We're all fat again
I wouldn't doubt it. To take an overweight deconditioned person and throw them into the training they do I always asked myself how are they not getting injured more frequently...add to that horrible form and technique and this does make sense. I hate that show.

Re: Biggest Loser Scandal: We're all fat again
It sounds like they are doing everything in their power to get the weight off each contestant and not actually helping / teaching them to change their lifestyle. As soon as they get back in the real world and their regular lives, bam, weight comes back. I agree with Qhams, I'm surprised there haven't been more reported injuries. Of all the shows you would think would have a reunion episode, it would be this one. The simple fact that they haven't done one says a lot.

good point about the reunion episodesRespectfully,

Eventually, if there isn't deep integrity and fundamental character strength, the challenges of life will cause true motives to surface and human relationship failure will replace short-term success.
There is an idea of who I am: some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me; only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel my flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable, I simply am not there.

Re: Biggest Loser Scandal: We're all fat again
from what i understand about the show: they bring them in for x amount of time break their ass off and teach them what they need to do to drop mad weight. then they send them home for x amount of time before the final weigh in and winner announcement. that's how i thought they were running the competition. now going off of what they do from a weight loss/weight management program, it is freaking insane. they go way to hard way to quick. if i were legitimately morbidly obese i would opt for the nutrisystem plan first lol, before going there and getting destroyedTGBSupplements REP

Re: Biggest Loser Scandal: We're all fat again
i tried to tell my wife there is no way these folk will maintain this kind of bootcamp discipline, training, and food choices at home so they would all get fat again. i am sure a few of them kept most of the weight off. some may have continued to loose for a time after.
but taking a flabby tub of goo from the lazyboy recliner with a bucket of fried chicken to a hardcore workout program and strict diet shocks the body and not is a good way. i am surprised more folk did not have probs

Commercial weight loss/weight training all designed to the average num nut means jack squat. Going on that show and busting ass i applaud but let me see you three years from now and we'll see how youre doing. You have to LIVE this as a life style its not just opting for the weight watchers menu at applebees.
