    This story was originally written in 2008 by Jordan Palmer. Cpl. Martin A. Barnes of Warrenton was aboard the USS St. Louis from Feb 4 1941 to Dec 25, 1942. He died on July 29, 2010.

    I visited Pearl Harbor back in 1986. It was a sad feeling but a must if you ever get the chance.

            WW 2 was the last war the U.S. had a declaration of war, which is mandated by the U.S. constitution.
