  • You're gonna love this one...

So my father goes to see his cardiologist on a regular basis. WEll my Mom asks the doc about hrt for my Dad(dad is 77). With all the commercials about low T on TV, my Mom has talked with me about this before.

So the doc responds with "You want to hurt your heart more? Testosterone will do that. Guys at the gyms are dropping off from testosterone use and heart problems".

Needless to say, no test for my Dad, lol

My doctor told me the same.
At the time, back in 2008, I was returning to work after a year and a half off on disability at my employer's request. At about that time, I began using test e/c/deca. Long story short, the company/union doctor did blood work on me, said that I could return to work, but asked me to see my doctor immediately in regards to my blood work results. He said that my metabolism and test were pretty high for someone my age and weight (at that time, 46/308). So a couple of weeks later, I saw my doctor and she repeated the same thing to me and with her most beautiful smile, she asked me, "What are you doing?"

After confessing to her, she explained to me that too much test could cause a stroke or heart attack. Frankly, I didn't believe her because I've researched before starting the 3. But she insists that it can and eventually will happen.

Yeah I think many docs are just trying to stay politically correct with the issue. It really is narrow minded of them and most people take everything their doc says as gospel.:/ no doubt they are smarter than me but that does not always make them correct. I remember watching a video on hiw there were no significant proof what's do ever to prove such claims as there are always multiple factors involved in cases if testosterone use and abuse, since there are no actual scientifically regulated studies of testosterone and other aas affects on the human body, opinions and results are concluded under very un-ideal circumstances. Basically they are just guessing at the cause and sffect long term.

Maybe the fact that my father is 77 and has heart disease for 20 years now, it would not be a good idea for him anyway

That is a valid point for sure, pretty much all the negative publicity us based on excessive use and not a healthy dose.

Low-test causes heart disease and if its your time to go your going to no matter what. Just be responsible and do what you want, at least your doing it for a good reason.

There's a lot of old bodybuilders now doing more than just fine. They don't get a lot of play at expos which is sad but I always seek out guys like lee Haney frank Zane etc and look at how healthy they are. I've gotten to train with Ferrigno and he's a friend if a friend. Guys healthy as an ox. That's what I look for. These guys aren't dropping off like flies, in fact they are flourishing late in life.

doctors get their information directly from the pharm companies...if a drug is not making the gov't money (ie. sold on black market so no kickbacks to gov't and no tax revenue) it is deemed BAD...if they can create customers then it's GOOD...
