IT WAS A PRE RECORDED MESSAGE SAYING THE AUTHORITIES WERE CONDICTING A "TERRORIST DRILL" AT MY DAUGHTERS HIGH SCHOOL. WELL MY WIFE MADE MY DAUGHTER STAY OUT TODAY AND GO TO WORK WITH HER. EVERY DRILL THAT IS CONDUCTED, SOMETHING CRAZY HAPPENS
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS?

Re: WE GOT A PHONE CALL THIS MORNING FROM THE SCHOOL
IDK, I think I would have let my son go. Because I know he'd be the one not listening because he doesn't kow what to do while everybody else is doing what they practiced. Teachers can practice all they want, but if the time really comes to follow through, they better have their wits about them and not forget anybody.
At my old school, we did something similar. We had to get all the kids, all their meds, and some rations in the vans with in 20 minutes. With every room checked and locked, staff and every kid needed to be accounted for, and it was only through practice that things went as smooth as they did.
Re: WE GOT A PHONE CALL THIS MORNING FROM THE SCHOOL
At least your school calls...kiddo comes homes and says something after the fact. But at least the school still do drills...better safe than sorry I think.
Re: WE GOT A PHONE CALL THIS MORNING FROM THE SCHOOL
Sad that schools have to have such drills. Seems like it would scare the poor kids. "Just in case someone comes in shooting, do this..." Just train the teachers how to shoot and give them guns.
What crazy times we live in. I guess its like living in Israel. Always on guard against an attack or a suicide bomber.
Re: WE GOT A PHONE CALL THIS MORNING FROM THE SCHOOL
personally I don't believe these drills are any good. possibly some sort of conditioning to students I don't know. what I do know is violence, and best believe is SHTF in any place nobody is going to there prescribed meeting place. violence is like sticking your finger in the ant hill. just chaos and hauling ass. earthquake and fire drills are different than bombs and gunshots. completely different mind set. people who are in fear of their direct safety do some dumb shit . atleast that's what I have seen.
IMO terrorist drills in schools are BS. bet they aren't having these drills in the hood..

So right. One of the fvcking dumbs things they tell these kids is to all huddle together?!? Really? Hey lets all make one real big easy target. Yeah that makes total sense as opposed to everyone run and get the fvck out.
