    Oh man, a 5 day excursion like that sounds so awesome. Man, I would love to see some pictures of that. Wish I could do that. I used to camp and I sure miss it. Now days I do like to go for drives through the mountains and take stops along the way to hike. I live on farmland, but luckily the mountains are a very short drive. Here are a few places I like to drive to. The first is Telluride and the second is Rocky mountian national park, then the back side of pikes peak and then some random pic I took somewhere

      wish i could say the same man but not me. i was laying on a beach after swimming ashore to do a beach survey in feb one year, soaking wet and freezing my butt off when i realized i hate the sand and the cold. i asked myself why did i join the branch i did when everywhere we go is sand. lol, it is ironic though. all the good times out weigh the bad but i just have no desire to do what i did for a living for fun. now dont get me wrong i enjoy hunting and stuff i just dont like camping and stuff anymore

        Camping is a blast I spend most of my time in the woods when I can never been a city boy. I laugh when I see all these flatlander guys hauling trailers loaded with quads and fancy ski boats to one up the other guy and park in a campground and "camp", sorta the same thing I reckon cept you're bringing your home with ya and setting it up in another comunity. Camping to me is a ruck full of gear and walking into the wilderness, Im planning on an assault up Mt.Jefferson soon as the fire season dies down a bit.

          Go for it Jipped ! chance of a lifetime brah, the weather should be a lil cooler and probally really nice with the season changing. I'll have to warn ya though, the hardest part is going to be wanting to go back home. For me the toughest part is that walk back to the truck and going back to the rat race.

            i love going camping in vermont when its 32 below zero outside in a tent under the covers with that special someone. i like to go " hard core" when camping. i guess like everything else in my life.

              we do most of our camping when hunting and its in a tent and campfire

                      I pitch a tent and build a fire. I've camped a lot in CO, WV, and NV and never been in anything but a tent.

                        I went on a kayaking trip in Alaska back in 88 or 89. For a month we went through the Prince William sound islands, camping on a new one every month. I've never experienced such majesty and beauty. Glaciers, wildlife, poker games next to our campfire. It was the only time I pulled a straight royal flush. Figures we were playing for pebbles.
