Co-workers daughter shot

This is crazy. Watching the news this morning and heard this 16 yr old was shot on the streets walikg with her GF at 12am. At that time my thoughts were, "what the heck is a 16 yr old walking the streets at midnight". Anyway i get to work and the girl happened to be my co-workers daughter. Crazy!!

I live in a Suburb of Chicago but I go the city often for foreclosed homes. Last week I saw a drive by shooting less then a block from we're I was looking. I saw the muzzle flash. It was insane. 11 am on the chicago south side is not the place to be.

A 16 year old out at 12 AM? Thats not safe anymore? Good lord, when I was 16 we would go all over the place all night long and nobody ever got shot. WTF is this world coming to????

holy shyt!!! i mean, my daughters 16....she went to the fair/fireworks with her boyfriend. they were over at 12:15 and she walked to his car and came home.... we live in a small town and i knew where she was, so the out at midnight thing aint a biggy...shouldnt be shot regardless of time of day....pretty big drag...i'd freak the fuk out!!

thats actually my biggest fear in life!!! too loose my daughter...holyshyt!! i had a brother die, who was 17, when i was 10....i watched my mom and dad spiral out of control for a few years!! the pulled it back together and had a strong marriage, but it was really a fuked up time in my life....i couldnt imagine going through that from their side of it....it sucked from my side as it was (we was very close... he was my hero).... i'd flip the fuk out!!
