Most of American car are junk. PERIOD except corvette and other good car...that is why we failed.... they built more cars more than what the consumer wanted...back then they never looked in hybrids and saving more money and building cars that has long milage...Too late, Honda, Toyota and nissan are already taking over as far as quality and durability.
Ford is way better than GM right now.....GM is asking for immediate 7 billions NOW with a 12 Billions instal Loans and 6 billions of credit line(my number could be lil off)---------> that tells me how BAD GM is doing now..
Ford can last up to 2009 so far even though they requested line of credit.

Mikey I love ya, but the credability of this post went out the window after your second sentence. The Corvette is one of America's biggest hunks of shyt bro. Although an American icon, it is, has been, and obviously always will be an over priced POS. Yes they're nice when they're new, and yes they're fun to drive, but they are not weekend warriors at the track...unless you have several thousand on hand to constantly feed it.
Other than the vette, that's only good for one thing, a 60yr old that cruises gently on Sunday afternoons, American cars took the lead in quality over everyone by 2000. And speaking of building cars that last the long haul. Ford's modular engine of the past decade+ outlasts and out performs any and all that step up to the plate...including the ever so wonderful German engineered pretty ladies in evening gowns that are driven just like an old lady should be. But Ford's mod motor has stood the test of hard work and hard drives proving to hang with the 300,000+ rated club with ease. And, ya don't have to drop $80k.

Like I've said before, the big three...uh uhm...er, Ford and GM will make it regardless. It might hurt, as dave states, but those 2 will still be producing vehicles when we're all throwing money around, like we always have, again.

Also, nobody said that the imports are doing any better. Again, GM- still #1 seller in the world.

Oh my lord! WITHOUT CHAPTER 11 THEY CANNOT GET OUT FROM UNDER THE OBLIGATIONS THAT WILL CONTINUE TO KEEP THEM FISCALLY UNSOUND. A "bridge loan" to them is like putting a band aid on severed limb. bro...you know i luv ya, but, imo, just this statement alone proves one of the bigest problem. for you to perpetuate the idea that domestic auto's are still so inferior with foriegn vehicles, is the same as people still pushing the idea of roid rage...it's a fukin myth. wake up! it's a good thing you know about building muscle, becouse you aint got a clue about cars. i'm sorry cuz, but your dead wrong. the tech. that comes out of detroit is huge! we (domestic auto's) will/do have the first auto to get up to 150mpg....i could go on all day, but i'm sure it'd be a waist.

a. your total income is now 40% less and theres is no sight for it too change fore one year

And i love u too Horsy but u seem like my dad. My dad and i argue about this almost everyday..he always thinks that American car are the best and so forth.
But again i MOSTLY see american cars at the shop, either engine probs, transmission or distributor head..Dont get me wrong im transam/cobra/vette fans as well and awlays drove v8 all my life/modified cars not till i got me a benz to stay away from racing, but always probs after probs with american cars...Honda and toyata are know for their engine to last forever.
Ok have i looked into their engine from 2006-2008 now?? answer is NO, but the reputations from the past is still stuck to my head( probs wise)

Most likely where u are at, its all but american, come to where im at or go to cali or down south, u see forgein cars more than american car FOR REASONSSSSSS.
yes im not the expert with cars and their techno and even though i was a car salesman for 2 years and still a new baby and i know that.
my whole point is that we see more foreign car than american car due to many probs with american cars..
if they were on point and paid attention in the past and focused on what they were doing, we would not fail as what we did. but now its seem too late to go back on track but lets hope for the best.
