The big 3 are still the big three though. GM is still the #1 seller in the world, and Ford is still #3 in the world.

They're actually seeing some housing loans stemming from the first round of bank handouts, so...

Yeah perhaps, but they still make poor quality vehicles imo. I drive a 2003
F-250 Powerstroke and though it runs great there are little electrical problems with it all the time. Of all the vehicles I have owned, the nissans and toyotas werethe best (have not had a honda).

you will lose 2 million jobs, and the bankruptcies that will spawn off of that will probably total 250 billion or so

64% of american's oppose the bail out plan and prefer chapter 11. Unfortunately that would have other ramifications as well.

chapter 11 wont fix shyt!! i went through this before on here...chap11 will creat MORE prob's. not fix any. they (ford specificly) has just as good if not higher ratings for customer satisfaction and quality!!! i can tell you about HUNDREDS of toyota turds, nissan turds, and honda turds. ofcourse...people usually trade in turds when they trade, so ofcourse, i'd see more, but believe me...there's plenty of foriegn horror stories. gm sells the shyt out of cars in japan and china...yet, americans believe domestics are not as good....makes no sence.
bankruptcy will take down venders...more jobs will be gone and it will effect, even the becon of light, toyota!! ALL manufacture's will be hurt. MORE JOBS GONE, HIGHER PRICES FOR CARS, SHYTIER PRODUCTS FOR PROFFITS...look into the future...it's pretty fukin clear where this will go without the BRIDGE LOOOOOOAAAANNNNN they are asking for.

Oh my lord! WITHOUT CHAPTER 11 THEY CANNOT GET OUT FROM UNDER THE OBLIGATIONS THAT WILL CONTINUE TO KEEP THEM FISCALLY UNSOUND. A "bridge loan" to them is like putting a band aid on severed limb. If you want a hand out to delay the inevitable death spiral, just say so. Don't try to sell me a bill of goods.

Most of American car are junk. PERIOD except corvette and other good car...that is why we failed.... they built more cars more than what the consumer wanted...back then they never looked in hybrids and saving more money and building cars that has long milage...Too late, Honda, Toyota and nissan are already taking over as far as quality and durability.
Ford is way better than GM right now.....GM is asking for immediate 7 billions NOW with a 12 Billions instal Loans and 6 billions of credit line(my number could be lil off)---------> that tells me how BAD GM is doing now..
Ford can last up to 2009 so far even though they requested line of credit.
