    Re: Raising taxes is patriotic

    Frog,

I am the most optimistic optimist there is.

IMHO, what most people don't truly understand is.............

WE LIVE LIKE WE LIVE BECAUSE WE CAN

our standard of living is what it is because societies work together as a whole and create what is in there best interest............better living standards

over the next 70 years the world will raise living standards for the 3 billion capitalists who just joined the freedom movement

in the last 20 years here is the scorecard

    1980 china's 1.5 billion became capitalists
--1.1 became capitalist now it is near 1.5 but their views are much different than we can perceive, although they want similar things the communist government is only looking to exploit these dreams and to look back and see teinimin square as a basis of what can and can’t happen under the red flag. Which is fundamentally wrong if you’re a capitalist and or progressive.
1990 thru bankruptcy of afgan war, they dissolved, and said wtf, we'll try capitalism, there's 200 million
1998 a dozen asian countries thru in there lot with capitalism, thailand, vietnam, etc., there's another 300 million
--all of those countries which you have mentioned base their monitary funds on the dollar, which none of these countries, can nor will have the standards we have today, but in the face of communism they have made their best effort and to this day, other than clothing, have no direct impact on our GNP, but do effect the trade imbalance. Why not let those countries compete for American goods where they can so that in the end we both gain for a mutually satisfactorily gain in economies?

    you get the picture

    what is in the way..........sustainability

food, not a problem overall, commodities, steel, copper, coal, we got plenty, harder too get, yet still plentiful

ENERGY ENERGY ENERGY, we are in a transitions phase worlwide, keeping it simple..........Energy Technology

---And we are of the small minority of countries that DO NOT explotaite our invionmental riches because why. The democratic party is out to be the Do Gooders in the world as some environmental police. Take a trip to India, Brasil, China, Africa. They are only trying to grow and could give two shits about the environment. But hey let’s have them sign a paper and it will all be good.

Wind Works, Solar Works, Still Plenty of Hydro-electric to be tapped

both wind and solar has now reached critical cost reductions so they can be mass marketed

I’ll see within the next twenty years, when we reshingle a house it will be with solar shingles

right now worldwide we have 20 large industrial grade, similar to coal power plant, solar energy plants,

in Texas we have huge wind farms, they will be more prominent to come

and we will get eclectic cars, from solar and sun

so, we'll basically over the next 50 years switch over too 80% renewable to 20% carbon based,

the good news is Timbuktu, let's use afghan here, has zero infra for energy, so they can go solar and wind when they do go, which probably won't be for 25 years, etc.

as much as the last year has been a catastrophe's we've learned some lessons

    a. we will have a national energy policy
    b. we will have a more rational war policy
    c. we will have a more rational fiscal policy

on wind and solar, think of it this way

in 1955 they figured out cell phones, took until 85 when we got portable bricks, 1995 mass marketed, and look at the jump in benefits and capabilities of our phones now

wind and solar, all figured out and ready too go by 1975, 1995 first installs, 2005 they had the bugs worked out, and with oil high they are actually a better long term investment for power companies..........so, once they start doing mass installs of huge projects, which are starting now, in 2020 it will reach cost effectiveness of being available to us

so, 14 years from now, till we get over the energy hump

The History of Man In One Word: PROGRESS

so, until man changes who and what they are we will progress, bumps along the way, yet, I am man/woman watch me progress, the roars are usually 30 years behind us and are not heard

--and in the end T BONE Pickens owns most of the windfarms trying to save us from our own demise. In the end it won’t matter. The leftist will win their way because of pure mis-information by the journalist. Can’t we all see that socialism is knocking…but hey we at least get free pills from the doc…

              Re: Raising taxes is patriotic

I believe we need to take care of the poor and impoverished, but their are way to many riding the system. Those who actuaslly need help should get it, but new Orleans is a perfect example of rat hole where generations of families have been sucking of our tax money on purpose while honest hard working people trying to get ahead for their family can't becuase of all the extra taxes I pay. We all make mistakes and sadam was one, but there is no reason NOT to correct the problem

youre right..there are too many people ridining the system..that why welfare needs to be gone or seriously revised....
but there are homeless people..starving people...kids that need homes...and a slew of other issues that plague america..we need to take care of our own first...
and as far as the new orleans folks..ive seen it first and..it makes me sick..because im one of those that lost everything...the system is flawed...

                  Re: Raising taxes is patriotic

Id have bet the farm 6 months ago that barack hussein obama would've won this thing. but, now I think its mccain's to lose. barack is all talk, no substance, and biden is an idiot. i'm really looking forward to watching barry get all flustered debating mccain and watching biden get mad and vicious towards palin. I predict a mccain/palin victory by 6-7%.

good thing u didn't bet the farm, unless it was in forclosure anyway, okay just kidding

people are zeroed in on this election, flaws will be magnified, mccain has more than barry

i've said for over a year barry's only real weakness in answering questions, he tries to help folks understand the answer he's giving, when folks, most of them anyway, just want u too say what they want too hear, which is clintons gift too politics, and why i hated him and voted against him, the only time i've voted in my life, a total scam guy if there ever was one, and why i was against hillary

If you want to shrink gov't you should think about lining up your party affiliation with the Libertarians or people that think like Ron Paul....Dems and Repbulicans both are in favor of govt, govt, and more govt. It's the answer when something goes wrong, just add more gov't and oversight.
