It actually made life much happier for me. It was a great excuse to go ahead and get another bike. and $10 a week is sweet.
The gas issue is a travesty indeed...being we could do something about it.
I have no choice but to pay it. I'm just thankful I drive a Toyota Corolla. My commute to work and back is 70 miles. There is no one at work who lives anywhere near me, so car pooling is out. Even though the bus stop is in front of my house, it doesn't go that far. No bus for me. I've trying to find a job closer to home, but I haven't had any luck. Seems like no one is hiring.
I have a Yukon that gets like 5 miles per gallon..LOL...$105 bucks to fill that baby up. I have twohorses and they cost more than gas..@$10 a bale of hay...so, either way, if you ride a horse or drive a car, yer screewed...the only solution is a motorcycle or a bicycle or walk.That or public transportation...
i have actually had to offer to drive grandma's ford contour for her, it gets her car some regular use and keeps me from having to put $100 week into my truck for gas to drive to the dojo 3 times a week to teach and twoce a week for me to get in some rounds work for the grands in a few months. otherwise i wouldn't be going down for my training and i'd be untrained for the big show. somebody has to end the insanity or civil war is going to break out soon. saudi arabi (the head of opec anyway) said they won't be discussing upping production til their next meeting september 9th. translation : let's **** the americans during vacation season and if they squack about it we'll **** em again in time for home heating season this winter. plain insanity, do we eat this month kids or heat the house so we don't freeze?
