lol..yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. I haven't heard anyone say, out loud that is, that they're voting for any other candidates because of skin color.

So what if the man went to a Muslim school in Indonesia. That was over 40 yrs ago. I went to a Catholic elementary school 20 yrs ago, does that mean I am Catholic and follow the Catholic theology? I don't put my hand over my heart during the pledge. The only time I was forced to do it was when I became a US Citizen and getting sworn in. It doesn't mean I hate America. And who said I was even for Obama?

okay. Obviously a show of respect for our stars and stripes, and all that it represents, means nothing to you. It does to me.
My next door neighbor is from London. He's been here for about 8yrs. He married an all American girl and has 2 children that were born in America. He doesn't want his citizenship because he said that he looses his British citizenship if he does that. That's his choice. I wouldn't expect him to care wheather someone crosses their heart in respect for Ole Glory or not either. But, he did choose to come over here and live the "American Dream" like his ancestors so he should damn well show respect and appreciation for the gift he was given or leave. Well, I don't want to go off on a tangent, but I think you get the point. I hold dear everything that flag represents and feel strongly that our president should feel the same or more.

Right, they don't say it out loud. The people who would generally say it out loud, most likely mumbles it under their breath since they can use the excuse of him having a Muslim background and lacking experience.

Showing respect doesn't have to mean crossing your hand over your heart. To me it feels as if I'm worshiping the flag when I do that so I refuse to do it. If the person stands and stays quiet, bows their head or whatever then that is enough.

I feel that our president should indeed show worship to the flag. Worship in the form of great respect and reverence like so many Americans that were born and raised in this great land and those that have shed blood for which the red stripes have been stated to symbolize. The word worship doesn't just apply to religion. Worship best describes the feeling and display of respect that many Americans manifest for those 50 stars and 13 stripes. Emotions run very deep for the liberty, militarism, and freedom among many other things that flag represents. The very things that that flag represents is what is most important and what America must return to. If you're not sure what that is. It can be summed up in one word. liberty Anyone who feels it's too much to ask to show proper respect for that is just plain disrespectful. But fortunately for them, that very flag that they feel it's too much to ask to respect, ironically represents their right to do just that as well. So please, do as you please. You're free to do so as long as you're in this great country under that great flag.

no that is not enough..that is completley showing disrespect to the flag...i have no respect for someone...especially someone who became a citizen BY THEIR OWN CHOICE, and cannot honor and respect the flag...it is more than a flag...it represents everyone who has ever fought to give you the oppurtunity to live under it...and you piss all over it...

FLAG SMAG, it's a piece of cloth an icon, it get's burned, worn on clothes, etc. etc. etc.


It's like BS on war of terro, Disprespect of a Flag, disrespect of an idea, a value system.

Now, if you lay your hands on someone, watch the f out.

I tend to focus on actions with meaning, versus a bunch of bs.

When in a large group and the flag is displayed and as whole I am REMINDED of my citizenship, i bow my head, get very emotional and feel great.

yeah, that's proper respect for the flag. You place your right hand over your heart during the pledge. That's all. And people stand for the National Anthem. Some sing along. For someone to turn their back to the flag is utter and deliberate disrespect.

An action that produces feelings of emotion is definitely an action of meaning.

The Court System

Steal a million of a billion in a white collar crime, u get what 2-3 years in club fed.

Use an Gun in any crime you're screwed. Physically put someone in harms way, and ur screwed.

The clear line is physical harm, potential phycisal harm.

Why..........u can regain money, you can't regain a life.
