i heard about the bug things from somewhere also...cant remember where. i dont doubt they have them, but as horpwr pointed out, i think they'd be tuff to use. i wouldnt call bullshyt though...our govmnt has spent billions on alot of useless shyt...whats so surprising about this?
HE WHO MAKES A BEAST OF HIMSELF, GET'S RID OF THE PAIN OF BEING A MAN!!
Sometimes I wonder why so many people are so willing to give up freedoms. I just don't get it!
Look at london Tmann. Was there a huge decrease in crime from the camera's being added? NO! A camera will not stop a criminal. If you think it will why do people still rob banks? Are you saying it's to expensive or hard for a criminal to pull a hood over their head? A criminal will commit a crime with or without the camera and I don't see it helping them find people any easier!
As for your whole flying camera argument you realize they have GPS devices the size of a grain of sand right? It's made by Toshiba. Why should a small flying camera be so hard to believe? Go read popular mechanics and you'll get a wake up call when you see what technology we have the average american is unaware of.
^i think that where i read something about those!! popular mech!!! i believe they got them.....just think they'd be tuff to use in an out door venue. i really dont see what's so hard to believe. i'd love to get one!!!

Me too! But I'd get one to follow family and friends around and freak them out...HAHAHAHAHA!!

Can you get a link to this GPS unit the size of a grain of sand. Hammerhead, one of the leading global positioning system companies, has the smallest GPS receiver. It's just under 4mm x 4mm and .6mm thick. Then you need the power supply and antenna. GPS units this small are made for small mobile devices such as handheld systems and cell phones.

Also the microchip was a point. They can make a tracking device the size of a grain of sand. Do you realize how amazing that is? Have you ever truly looked at how tiny a single grain of sand is?
Now your telling me that it's unbelievable that they can make a dragnofly camera.........but not a tracking device the size of a grain of sand.
Put it this way. I had a remote control car that did 50+MPH and could hit it faster than any real car I pitted it against. That's they technology of a $400 remote control car. Now use the governments budget and imagine the shiit they can come up with.
They even have a radio controlled vehicle on Mars. ON MARS!! That's not unbelievable? Do you realize how far away that is? Millions and millions of light years away!
But you still think a dragonfly camera is a stretch?

I've noticed it takes a couple times with you DJ. Like I said...I'm not dismissing the possibility. I realize technology is absolutely amazing. Sometimes, almost, unbelievable. I'm sure somebody has something like this. I'm sure the imagery among other information is tramsitted via optical fiber. I doubt the info transmission would be the difficult part. The maneuverability and power is what's holding it back from getting past going up and down for 30 seconds, inside, with the a/c off so there's no air motion, what-so-ever, to throw it into the wall or something.
And DJ, Mars is only about 4 light seconds from earth.

I guess I need to brush up on my light year math
Seriously, go read popular mechanics. It'll blow your mind what you see. I see it being very probable. I remember about 5 years ago they made a remote control fly in Japan. That was awesome. I kept saying how I would love something like that to mess with people in random public places. It would make a great TV show.

oh it would be a blast. You could literally have the chance to be that "fly on the wall." You could drive conspiracy theorist to a straight jacket, lol.
Great, now we're becoming like london! Well looks like George Orwell was dead on. He was just about 23 years off from his book 1984.
This country strikes more and more similarities to 1984 and also the movie 'V for Vendeatta' more and more everyday.
Pretty soon there will be camera's in your tv's watching you beat off to porn. HAHA!
Why do I have the feeling that so many will balk that it's necessary for safety? Maybe they need to read my sig, go read 1984, then go watch V for vendeatta. So frustrating.
We're probably actually closer to "BRAVE NEW WORLD" than "1984".
