Great, now we're becoming like london! Well looks like George Orwell was dead on. He was just about 23 years off from his book 1984.
This country strikes more and more similarities to 1984 and also the movie 'V for Vendeatta' more and more everyday.
Pretty soon there will be camera's in your tv's watching you beat off to porn. HAHA!
Why do I have the feeling that so many will balk that it's necessary for safety? Maybe they need to read my sig, go read 1984, then go watch V for vendeatta. So frustrating.
Interesting, yes they are going to keep pushing this until we start pushing back! It can easily be argued that it is for safety but look at it this way London had all those camera and did it prevent the terrorist attack from happening there?

Safety argument is a crock anyway. A criminal won't stop commiting crimes because a camera is there. If that was the case, noone would rob a bank. Think about it.
Yeah it didn't prevent anything in London because it was done by their government. There's is actually much easier to prove than 9/11 for us. They weren't as smart as our crooked govt was.
And yeah daved your right is way overboard. These camera's are a violation of our privacy!
it's only gonna get worse....the internet is monitored, there's camara's everywhere (we just added four at our biz) and our mail get's checked...it's not ending anytime soon
HE WHO MAKES A BEAST OF HIMSELF, GET'S RID OF THE PAIN OF BEING A MAN!!
It doesn't bother me in the least! I mean really, what's so private about me walking down the street? LOL It's like these fukers that come out of their house and tell me not to take a picture of their home, which is required by federal law for my job, because it invades their privacy. LMFAO! What's so private about the front of your home?
This thing doesn't bother me at all, it anything I would have fun with it by wearing t-shirts that say things like "I see you watching me". LOL
You guys may think it's going too far but wait, one day some poor person is going to get stabbed or shot and they will catch the fuker because of those cameras. But, if they are using them to look for suspcious people, who cares? Unless you look suspicious, who cares? There are cameras in most elevators of nice hotels and big money buildings, does that bother you? It doesn't me, if I see the camera, I smile at it.
Everyone has the right to feel however they want, me, I could care less because I don't do anything in public I have to worry about. So, I just don't care if they have cameras. Besides, how many of us even live in NY? So, if you don't live there, why care? It's not like it effects you.
Oh, by the way, Bloomberg is pushing this, right? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he a liberal Dem? That's what I thought. LOL And people on here keep talking about how the Republicans are taking our privacy away.
its both dems and repubs..Both serve a higher govt..You may think its not too bad but it's a stepping stone, give a foot theyll take a yard..Bloomberg is a socialist imo.Just last month he passed these laws 3-4 months ago that makes it illegal to film in the city unless you have a permit, yet the govt can film us..I read an article the other day about these little cameras that fly around, they are the size of dragonflies and spy on protesters ect.
No offense bro, but I would have to actually see one of those for myself to actually believe that. Even those microscopic cameras that people put in things must have a transmitter. Then, add to that the fact the 'bug' must have a receiver and a motor in order to fly.....I don't see how all of that will fit in that little thing and produce anything worth a crap in image quality. If something like that really worked, our military would be sending those things into buildings instead of soldiers. That's my thought, but hey, if I were to see one actually flying around and see the image it produced, I would be of another position. But for now, I have to call BS. It's just too small for all that.
I used to have superhuman powers....until my therapist took them away.

lol..yeah I saw that. The problem that they have with cameras that small is power for one. They could use those little button size batteries but it would only last a few mintues. Wind is the bigger problem. With something that small, the slightest breeze throws it way off coarse. If they had these dragonfly cameras, we would already have been using them to find people trapped in building, mines, etc...not to spy on protesters. Why would you use a secret spy camera in a situation that someone can just walk around and listen to people?

Excellent points!

so the washington post just made it up (picture)? its documented by our cia that they have them.
Well, like I said, until I actually see oen flying and the image it produces, I call BS. No offense, but this is a little bug on a guys finger. No picture of it flying, no pictures of the images it supposidly records, just a little bug on a finger. Sorry, but it takes more than that to confince me. I could put a thing like that on my finger and take a picture and get people I know to say they saw it flying around, but that still wouldn't mean anything.
It's like horsepwr said, the wind alone would make that thing unable to fly. Not to mention, even if you put one of those hearing aid batteries in it, where's the motor, reciever and transmitter going to fit?
I still call BS on the whole thing about it beign able to fly and film. I don't doubt that science could make an electronically bug that could possibly fly, but I doubt it would be that size and have the ability to film people and avoid being blown all over by strong winds. We have dragonflys here and when it's windy, they get blown all over the place. Not to mention, they even have much longer wings than this little thing.
