+1 - Maybe that'll convince them to stop puffing on those cancer sticks....
yea...that'll do it!...like dennis leary said, you can rename then "death", package in a black pack, with a big skull and cross bones on the front of the pack...the WHOLE back of the package can be the surgion generals warning and charge 20$ a pack, and we'll be lining up to get them!!! "we'll brake into your house to get the money to buy them"...
actually, me and my wife are starting chantix next week...lets see if that works.....(i also need to see if there's any "problems" with doing that and other things, lol...maybe rolls or piron may have a clue?)
HE WHO MAKES A BEAST OF HIMSELF, GET'S RID OF THE PAIN OF BEING A MAN!!
i'd rather flick 'em than stink up my car with a ashtray full of butts, lmao. sorry.
I think throwing your cigarette butts will have a little effect since you've already been smokin in there. Your car, you clothes, and you all stink now!!!
Thomas Jefferson - "When the government fears the people there is liberty; when the people fear the government there is tyranny."
No one has even mentioned how long it takes for the damn butts to biodegrade. Sorry if I sound like a tree hugger (which I certainly am not) but go out to any road side in any large city and just look at all the butts and other crap in the gutters. It's nasty...
I have to agree on this law. But it is a pet peeve of mine.
Vet here and there....

that's a little, more like plenty steep for littering a butt. Bottles can start a fire too. Are they charging that much for throwing those out? I learned butt flicking etiquette when I started smoking many many moons ago. You roll your window down and extend your arm straight down and flick directly at the asphalt...no bouncing off cars behind or landing in the grass. When it's so dry like it's been everywhere, people should just think before they flick and make sure they aren't flicking anywhere hazardous, or have an empty bottle with some liquid in it to throw butts in and cap so it doesn't smell.
It always cracks me up, the people that have to light up right when they put the car in gear. Why??? Why can't they just wait until they get where they're going? I can understand the 2-3 pack a day smokers, but most people don't just have to have one right then. And somebody mentioned that smokers clothes and everything smells. That's people that smoke in their house and don't ventilate well and air out when they drive. I've had people that get to know me and after months/years not know that I smoke or see me smoke and be like "what? you smoke?" It's all in your smoking habits/practices if you will,lol... and how much you smoke of coarse. I gotta be clean and fresh. I, like everybody else, can't stand the smell of cigs.

Back in 1996, I did a fill-in karaoke gig at a nearby Chinese restaurant only to find out the hard way about cigarette stench. My carpeted equipment cases absorbed a lot of cigarette smoke odor during the gig, unbeknownst to me. The next day, I went to unload the gear from the back of my truck and when I opened up the cap door, BAM! It was like I walked into a WALL of cigarette stench! I pulled my head back and just stood there for a minute because I thought I was gonna upchuck....
