If you are having trouble staying logged in when navigating between forums/topics/etc., you need to reset your session cookie. Go into your browser and delete any cookie for the site them log back in. This should fix the login issue.
Oh, now I'm pissed. I don't mind paying more for gas because I know there is nothing I can do about it. However, yesterday I get gas and I notice it was $40. I thought, damn, it's never been that high before. So I look at the receipt and it reads "14.832 gallons". I thought, "wait a phukin minute" and i grab my owners manual. Sure enough, my gas tank only holds 14.5 gallons. AND, I wasn't even on empty yet.
So I walk in the store pretty pissed off and I tell the clerk and she gets the manager. The manager, in her condisending tone, says "the pumps are certified by the state every month".
I say, "mam, it's physically impossible to put 14.8 gallons in a 14.5 gallon tank, especially when I wasn't even on empty".
This ***** says, "well, the pumps are certified so I can't help you".
I said, "You going to wish you did".
One of my bros is a producer at the largest local TV station and is doing an investigation and he has contacted the states Weights and Measures department to do a full audit on the station. Not to mention he is going to rip them a new one during his investigation. He has already contacted the manufacturer of my car and they told him absolutely now way could my tank hold that much gas because every part of the cars is made exactly the same.
Mother @!$%!% theives! I can't wait til this shit hits the news. Everybody in town is going to start reading their receipts very closly. Oh, and if false play is discovered I believe it's a federal offense.
Dude your a genius! I never thought of that dammit! My truck takes 25 gallons and sometimes the pump says I filled it to 25.8 or a little higher. I always just assumed that maybe the tanks can hold a tiny bit more than what the spec sheet says. Now I'm going to watch this like a hawk! Thanks for the heads up bro!
Well, so far nothing from the TV station but did talk to the dude from Weights and Measures and gave him all the details. The address, dealer #, pump # and product. He is going to do a surprise visit and test the pump when they aren't expecting it.
I hope the TV station runs it. Even though my bro is a producer he has to get it by the boss. If not, I got another bro at the local newspaper. I'm going to raise just enough heck to get this out to the general public. These phukers need to be honest. It's like buying a pound of meat and only getting 14 ounces. Oh hell...I never thought about those phukers...they use their scales and we just take their word for it. LOL! The whole world is out to get us. LOL

Ok, here's the deal so far. The investagator from the state called and said he would go check it out in the next day or two. He said that more times than not the calibration gets off and needs to be reset. He also said that very rarely it's intentional. So I asked, "couldn't someone use the same technique to correct the calibration to put it off and then when you guys do your spot check they just blame it on the calibration?"
He says, "Well, technically yes, but it's not likely. There are some cases of intentional tampering but in most we find it's just faulty calibration and we have it reset."
I said, "So, if someone was real cleaver they could adjust the calibration on the busiest pump and make it look like it was just one bad pump and more than likely that would be considered non-suspicious activity, rigth?"
He says, "Yea, if it's usually just one pump we don't think of it as anything since we come acrss stations with one pump off quite often."
I said, "Well, don't you think the owners know that a figure if it's only one pump then the chance of you making a big deal about it is very unlikely. Therefore, resulting in them getting away with it."
He said, "What are you a detective or something?" (laughing)
I said, "No, but you have to think like a criminal to out think a criminal. I guarantee you, if its possible to scam the system people are going to do it."
The guy paused and then said, "Man, now you got me second guessing some of these stations." (laughing) "Now I need to go back to see who's has the most frequent calibration problems to see if there is a pattern. I really apreciatie you brining this to our attention. We would have no idea of this kind of stuff if people like you don't pay attention and then take the time to call."
IMO: The "state" has the most ass backwards hiring policies. It's very difficult to get any kind of invetigative job with a state agency if you have a criminal record, but yet they expect these clean nose people to be able to out think the criminal mentality. It ain't gonna happen. You have to know how to out think the people you are trying to investigate, and the only way to do that is to be able to get into their head. I felt bad for the guy. This guy honestly gives people the benifit of the doubt way to often. Bad mistake, trust is earned, not given.

Honestly Tmann I wouldn't be surprised if these people are getting a cut under the table. It just seems to suspicious that they didn't see this pattern. I mean come on this guys supposed to be an expert and you thought of it right away. This is what they do for a living so they should be experts of how to spot problems like this. Like I always say thats why I've always thought our government is as corrupt as it can get.
Good luck bro, I'm glad your standing up for what you believe in and not backing down. Maybe if enough people start calling in they'll see the point and act on it. Try having everyone you know calling in about the same thing. Watch how fast that problem will disappear when it starts to become a widely noticed scam.

LMAO sure your tank hold 14 gallons but don't forget about all the gas that fills up the tube to the way to the tank thats at least a gollon there
No, I asked the service guy from the dealer about that and he said you have to realize, the nozzle goes about 5 to 6 inches down in there and the gas splashes up as you pump it in and cuts off the pump, so there is no way to get much gas, if any, in the tube. He also said the tube is very narrow and doesn't have much volume to it at all.
