Re: i have moderate add
That was a skewed study that caused Health Canada to take it off the market. The FDA evaluated it and decided to keep it in the US.
Also it is going to be used again in Canada before too long, they realize that it's not as dangerous as once thought.
Straterra has much lower success with patients who actually have ADD/ADHD for the most part. It seems it works in some, and has either no effect or adverse effect on others.
For those that actually have ADD, the medication is very beneficial. I made it through college and a year of professional school without it, but I finally got tests (by a psychiatrist and a clinical psychologist) and got the medication and it is a tremendous help. It's amazing to be able to zone in on one particular issue and not be distracted at the drop of a hat.
ADD basically causes a disreprancy between your intelligence and performance abilities. You can be at the 100th percentile for intelligence but then only measure at 92nd percentile for performance.
