No bro, I'm saying you don't HAVE TO go to confession to cofess your sins. You just drop to your knees and confess them to God. That's all we're trying to say. I certainly don't mean any disrespect to any Catholics on here. My step-father who raised me since I was 5 years old is Italian and is Catholic. I was also born Catholic and still attend mass, though not regularly.
I know the alot of churches kinda do their own thing but the Bible is very plain on these subjects and the churches that are true to the teachings of the church and more importantly the teachings of the Bible certainly don't engage in that type of activity.
I've always liked this quote, I'm not buddist but I think it more or less sums up my philosophy.
Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.

Kite you are exactly right. Catholics do not worship or condider the Pope an idol, nor are they satin worshipers. If ppl are too ignorant to know anything about the Catholic church or its doctrine, then you should prob keep your comments to yourself. I find it neither funny or comical, just rude and immature. It is sad that a thread is purposely lead into this manner to poke fun at a particular denomination. I thought some ppl here had more maturity, but i see that is not the case.Comment
