This guy that comes to my gym (i've mentioned him before) is a 400lb massive mother fucker! OF course hes not all muscle but he is unreal in size. He used to play for the Colts back in his heyday and in the Euro league for a bit. Anyways, he was out of lifting for like 2 years and he's 37 i think. He's been coming into my gym for about 8 months. Last night he was benching and he asked me to spot him with 585lbs. I've seen him hit this before for 1-2 reps no problem...he hit 6 reps and was clean the entire set, no stalls. I was amazed! his form is pretty good, the only thing that i would knock is the bouncing off the chest thing.
So, to get to my point.... after he did a set in the 600's he rested and dropped down to 315. That mother fucker hit it 23 times! freaking UNREAL!!!!! OHHHHH but wait, hes not done yet, he then went and did 225 -51 times ( i was on the phone so i missed it but another member said he counted 51...
When he was finished and was on the way out he said that next week he's going to do his workload up to 585 and then stop so he can try 315 for 30 reps...
I'm gonna tape that shit!
