I didnt call them cocky...I simpley said people who believe in themselves are cocky. The "I can do anything" people. And like I tell everyone I talk to about this....No harm or disrespect meant...We can agree to disagree about anything. Doesnt change my opinion that everyone ive met on this board for the most part have been stand up bros and the rest are banned or arent here anymore. The person who has never heard about God, then yes he or she would go to hell. As far as the 4 year old...Im not sure.....ill research and post what I think.
look, strictly, based on facts, the Bible was not written by God, nor by Jesus. it was written by men who mostly lived nearly 50 years after jesus died. the old testament was written by men who lived a thousand years before jesus.
the Koran was written by Muhammad, not by God.
all these great men claimed divine inspiration, but how do we know? if someone said those things now, claiming to be sent by God, we would send him to an institution.
my point is, that we dont know who is right or who is wrong. there is no proof that God exists, or that Jesus rose from the dead. It all comes down to faith. a extra sensical feeling in our hearts that there is something greater out there than us. NO ONE has the right to say one religion is wrong, therefore they are going to hell.

Of course it will be, because you are looking at other religions as wrong because to you only your could be right........ I on the other hand am looking at it from an open minded point of view.... Where everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and opinion.... Therefore their beliefs are not wrong
totally agree with this..i dont know howpeople can say if a person has a religion outside of christianity they are going to hell..i believe in one creator for everyone..and think everyone no matter what is going to the same place wherever it may be..how can an individual say that their belief system is 100% right and the vast majority of others are wrong..everyone has their own mind to believe in whatever they want..and i cant imagine "god" saying your not welcome because you didnt beleive in the christian religion if he was that judgemental ill pass on heaven . just my opinion
i dont wanna get into an argument with anyone here, i just will say this...I think that crank has the right thing going with keeping himself openminded to other peoples religions. I am a Christian but to anyone who believes something else, thats thier choice and will be more likely to look into Christianity if I am openminded about thier religions or beliefs too

there may be people that say the worship satibn and are satinist......but they are deifnatly not part of the Religion Satinism......

yeah, the history channel said the Bible wrote that. It is NOT historical fact. Historically, we have very little information about Jesus. Just a roman philosopher that obscurely mentions him and not even by name, and a couple Jewish rabbis that wrote about a guy claiming to be the son of God, and these writers were about a thousand miles away from Jerusalem.
cipher,you seem to think a lot of people are wrong for what they believe.you believing you are right denotes a bit of cockyness and there fore selfness. there are many paths to the same place, and thinking yours is the only right way shows that you head is buried . god can take on many names and forms, and i do believe that many regilions use the same bible. you show a lack of respect for other religions, you obviously do not take the time to try and understand them. you have no right to judge them until you do. a true christian accepts everyone as god's children, you obviously do not, show me the scripture in the book where it says you get to decide who is wrong and right. an opinion is an opinion, but prejudice is prejudice. where do you fall?

Bro...Everything you just said can be proved wrong in the bible. Gimme sometime and ill answer all your questions or remarks straight outta the bible. Bible talks about fleeing from other religions that are wrong etc etc. It will take a day or two but I will reply. I am not cockey first off. Everyone is entitled to believe what they want. Ive said it from the first post. Whether I think they are wrong or not, doesnt matter to them and vice versa.

And there is lots of different religions...... All of them have the right to their own beliefs.... none of them are wrong.
and a lot of that has to do with the area. if you have a family who has lived in the same area for say couple hundred years of generations, chances are the only religion practiced in that area, is the one your family follows...
its a diffrent world in places like that. the US spoils us.

Everyone IS entitled to thier own opinion. However, this does not make thier opinion right. You may believe the earth is flat, and rightly so you are entitled to your opinion. But that sure doesnt make you right now does it? Nearly every religion has a stipulation for arrival at heaven or nirvana or whatever, and in doing so they are mutually exclusive. So it boils down to this. If one is right then the others are wrong. If none are right then they all are wrong. Either way SOMEONE is wrong.
If I were to tell you 1+1=2 I would be right. If you were to tell me that 1+1=55 you would be wrong. No matter how "right for you" it may be. ****** believed what he was doing was right. I on the other hand disagree. Is it possible that both I and ****** are right?

what your saying is OBJECTIVELY right and wrong. it can be proven that 1+1=2. that is a fact. murdering 6 million people is wrong because ****** made the decision that life is not a natural or inalienable right.
the earth is not flat because it can be proven that it is not flat. that is an objective fact.
when you talk about God, heaven and hell, and religion, they are all not fact. they cannot be proven therefore they are subjective.
you cannot compare objective facts to subjective opinions.
