Very true...thats why God forced no one to follow him, he gave us all choice.

some complete freak of nature is taking my BF's 13 year old daughter, who unfortunately he does not have physical custody of, to see this movie.

for those who laughed about the notion that some asswipe might actually take a child to see this movie, laugh hard. i'm just hoping she doesn't come out PTSD. i am unspeakably angry.

makes me sad to think anyone could watch someone else being tortured like that and be unmoved. even if you consider it fiction - i'm always aware there are things like that, and worse, being done for real all over the world.

did you take the time to notice that most of the people that were "unmoved" are military personnel who have seen that kind of brutality quite often. they are the ones fighting so you can have your beliefs without being prosecuted. you learn to turn of your emotions so you can do your job properly. that is the cost of protecting the ones who can't protect themselves. don't get sad for the ones who are unmoved, feel sad for the ones that can feel that are in those terrible situations and can't get out
            hell ya ,lets go

I see people saying that there's much worse stuff in this world to cry about. Who says we don't??? We're talking about the movie...not all the wrongdoings in this world that we should be crying about. To assume that people don't cry about other stuff not even on this subject matter is absurd. To call someone a wuss for crying during this movie isn't right to me. I'm not religous at all....but I got teary eyed during the movie. It's a good story with powerful images. Maybe I'm wrong...but I go to see movies to feel emotion. Wether it's sadness, happiness, laughter or just plain getting excited during a cool fight scene.....I go to feel emotion and be entertained. You have to remember....some people haven't been exposed to the same violence or horrible images that others on here have. That's no reason to be upset with them. I think it's great that so many people were moved by this movie. It was a good movie that was pretty powerful to most....regardless of what the story was about. To me that's what a good movie should do. And if you weren't moved by it...so what. Not every movie can appeal to everyone. But it's no reason to knock those who did enjoy it.

Since this thread was started by asking how the movie was...I'll give my opinion.
I'm not religous...I don't believe in god...but I thought the story was great and the movie was really well done and very powerful and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes to see a tear jerker.

Just saw the movie, and although it was pretty historically correct. I believe the violence was overkill and all about how much money Mel could make on the marketing of Jesus's crucifixion; a kind of blasphemy, if you will. I was actually mad when i got out of the theater.

                        The Passion

I saw the movie and yes I liked it. I grew up Catholic, and may not agree with some of the rules in the church, this movie makes you think just what Jesus did for us and what little things vwe go through in life is nothing compared to what He went through, if anything it should open peoples eyes on how they treat others and to be more compassionate to all living beings. That's just my opinion.

My friend works at a Movie theater and says people either come out sick/crying or extreamly pissed. I have the bootleg but haven't watched it yet.

I think the baby demon took place several times in the movie, but I think it signified original sin or, as Christ was mentally fighting the Devil's impure thoughts that Jesus would win the battle, but there would be a future son of the Devil , the Anti-Christ, which he was holding. Just my interpetation.
