I'm mostly native american and you don't hear me *****in and complaining(no reference to anyone by the way just making a point here)why there aren't any native american history month,if the blacks want a month for them then I say let them have it,what's stopping us from having a latin history month or even a native american history month,it's a free country if you want one so bad talk to your governor or congressman and see about getting one started otherwise there's no point in worring about it.
To tell you the truth if I want to learn about black history,native american history or latin history then all I have to do is go to the library,nuff said.

"white history month" hahaha that's all we learned growing up. Thomas ****erson, Christopher Columbus, George Washinghton, A. Lincoln ect... and you want a month...that just seems hilarious. I wish I would have learned more about Dr. King, The Mexican revolution wich occurred in Mexico and the U.S. Who here learned about Emiliano Zapata or Pancho Villa growing up, and how eventhough out numberd and out gunned led one of the biggest revolutions in the world, and because of the Spanish surrenderd and could not colonize Mexico and parts of the US we are all here in CA not talking with a spanish lisp. So if you wanted to do one about your ethnic backround such as "Irish history, or Spanish History month" That would be great.

Personally I did learn about MLK, George Washington Carver and other black historical figures in school. There was no month devoted to it it was just part of history. I belive there is just more history in this country about whites than black because whites have been here longer. #0 years from now we will not need a month to remeber people like Colin Powell Condalisa Rice(sp). They are just part of history.

BTW The biggest thing Im tired of is hyphenated race names. Asian American, African American etc. Most people now are born here and could not tell me one country in Africa. We are all Americans.
