Im sorry how does that arent into the bible feel, but not in a flame way, let me explain. I have faith in God, and yes I believe in the bible as well. However, I noticed that most of the non-religiouse people here hate the thought of the bible or God because how they are approched into it. I see religouse people telling non believers that their not going to heaven becuase they dont attend church, thats wrong, if you believe in God, and are a civil human being, then you will go to heaven.

I doubt that God would send a good person to hell becuase they dont attend church or etc..... remember God doesnt take attendance, he loves all equally.

I respect everyone's diffrent opinions on the topic of religion, so I wont bother anyone that doesnt want to know, i am in no way a "jesus freak" or such, im just a nice person that believes God created us (evolution doesnt add up) and if we are good, then God will accept us into Heaven.

Honestly though, in my opinion, you dont have to live in church or such, just pray every night at home, and have faith, you dont need to have every scripture memoriezed or anything. We all sin (this is a steroid board :p ) God understands that, that is why jesus died thousands of years ago.

I agree with you. If more religious people would accept the fact that people make mistakes, and sin without casting judgement....... im sure their would be a lot more born again christians and etc.

That is my view in it, the bible states that jesus died for our sins so we all could go to heaven, so as long as you pray and believe God exists, you will always have a place in God's heart

Rude....I have to disagree with you. You must realize first that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). 2nd, that the penalty of sin is death and hell (Romans 6:23). 3rd, That Jesus paid the penalty for our sin on the cross (Romans 5:8) 4th, That if the person will believe all this and recieve Christ as his personal savior, God will save them (Romans 10:13). Good people dont go to heaven. Its black and white. "To enter the gates of heaven ye must be born again". To be born again is to be saved. To be saved is the process I described above. Alot of people believe in God like Jewish people. They dont believe Jesus is the Son of God. They will not be in heaven according to the bible.

I thought the whole point in Jesus dying was to save us.....If moses, Abraham and Job all went to heaven what actually changed. Except the fact that you have to believe in Jesus now, instead of just God.

To atone for your sins...you used to have to have blood sacrifices. Remember to test Abrahams faith, God asked Abraham to sacrifice his son on the mountain. Abraham was willing to do so then right before it happen, an angel of the Lord appeared and told Abraham to stop.

The new Covenant is Jesus dying for our sins.

There was a holding place, or resting place. Old testament believers went to "Abraham Bosom" something like that. They did not go to heaven directly after death. Jesus went there during the crux/death/resurrection time. They were atoned in the blood of Jesus.
