There are alot of guys that use corked bats in baseball, just like a ton of pitchers scuff the ball. Its been done for years but to say that its appaling and terrible and detrimental to the game, nope there is many many other problems with baseball besides these little things. And just so you know on espn today they cut sammy's 498 hr bat and nope it wasn't corked.Its not the size of the dog in the fight, its the size of the fight in the dog...Comment

Was watching ESPN this morning and they mentioned that corking a bat only gives you about 1-1.5% more power... So in translation if Sammy hits a homerun that goes 407 ft with a corked bat... it probably would have went 403ft without it. I'm no Sosa fan... but I really dont think it is that bad. I think he deserves to be punished.... The caveat to this would be if his other bats in the Hall of Fame are corked... which I heard they are going to X-ray now.... then maybe some of his stats should be asterisked.lethal123@cyber-rights.net
