Bro if in the rules it says steriods or other items are not to be used then yeah its cheating. If its right to have that as a rule or not is something for that sport to consider. Steorids have altered baseball more than any other sport out there simply cause baseball looked the other way. 570ft homers, 70+hr season guys in their late late 30's hitting better than in what use to be their prime. I mean all this is due to steroids. I myself being a user love steroids but being a longtime fan of baseball really feel that it has affected the game negativly and feel that there should be a better testing system in place but i know that in the near future as more and more juice that 70 hrs will be a lot more common place unless they take those fences back to where they use to be 465ft in the alley and 485ft to deep center.

they x-rayed all 60 of his other bats and they came out all fine. why won't ppl just give him the benefit of the doubt and understand that he really DID just grab the wrong bat??? poor sammy

I never said I didn't like the guy, I just thought it was messed up at the time that happened, kind of glad it turned out to be a mess up, he's a great player no matter what

ok a couple of things:

1) a corked bat gives you maybe 50ft, sosa was blasting them bigger than the 50ft.

2) the rest of his 70 or so bats came out fine

3) a lighter bat would not be beneficial for sosa because he is so strong, it would actually be worse for him

4) most players use corked bats of batting practice for several reasons, including injury prevention


i think the bat is a joke, if you are going ot put the guy in the news put him in the news for being a good hitter or a good juicer
