What is the proper way to take this. I have been mixing it in sugar free kool aid. The cool part is where some of it gels.
If I take it this way am I still getting the good out of it?

Well, its probably not much different than metamucil which is orange flavored. I take a huge scoop every day and can tell when I miss a day. Im pretty sure its psyllium

Yeah I break my doses up. Smaller dose 2-3 times ED with 8-10 oz of water. I chug it as quick as possible so it does not gel up. I do not know if this is beneficial but I do not get gas or other probs when I break it up.

Also if you take it 20 minutes before meals it will help you feel fuller faster so you eat less when cutting, and it helps slow absorption of carbs basically lowering the GI rating so you do not get an insulin spike.

The only negative is metamucil has artificial sweetener in it. If I miss taking it, end up on th eshitter for long time pinchin a loaf. . With the psyillium, youre done shitting in a matter of seconds LOL

i take two servings before bed and 2 first thing in the am. here is the most important part about using a fiber supplement, in order for it to be max effective it can not contain sugar. it will lock onto sugar and pull it through your system and not provide the max benefit of the fiber. now on the trade off it will pull and cancel out sugar that you take in with it but on the other it kind of defeats the purpose. so basically opt for sugar free and slowly build up your dosing. when you take it in all honesty is more of a personal pref. like jipped said if you want to use it for appetite control or to slow down insulin release using it about 20 mins before a meal is optimal.

i also just get the walmart brand sugar free. it's cheap and identical to all the name brand products

I usually take mine at night and can definitely tell when I miss a night or two.

Oh so true. The machine slows to a crawl and I get bloated. Keeps the halls swept so to speak.
