mine are to old for it now but my youngest is a hell of an artist. i tried it and did it when they were young one year and swore never ever again. i do not have the patience for detail work and it kicked my ass big time. i pawned it off on the mrs from then on haha

My son and I love doing this. He’s 5 and we did it when he was three and four. He’s looking forward to it so much this year!

This was probably the first year I didn't carve one. Mine never turned out the way I wanted them too. I'd get the perfect patterns in place, but by the time I finished carving it you couldn't tell what the hell I was trying to do lol.
