so i traveled up north to compete this past week and weekend. i choose to fly as opposed to drive since plane tickets were so cheap and the city we were going to was stupid expensive to park and just travel around in. so here is my observations and i watch the news on a daily basis. i went through one small air port at home to connect to two major air ports. the only questions about the virus i was asked were at the small air port here and my temp was not checked one time. they tell us that the air line industry is going to go under and they are only booking small numbers on flights. this is utter and complete bull shit. even the small air port in my city was slam packed and it only has two carriers and maybe 12 gates. every single aircraft we were on were completely full. i mean literally every single seat was taken. the two major air ports were slammed with people. so i can honestly say they are lying about how low travel is right now because it damn sure isnt. i even asked one of the tsa people if they had saw a down turn the last couple of months and he said hell no, it hadnt slowed down at all.
the city i went to was a dem controlled city which i have not been to since i was like 8 or 9 years old and it was a pretty dirty place then but now it is incredible and mind blowing to me. now granted it is up north and gets cold as fuck and the homeless population just blew my mind. having to walk around shit and piss all over the streets and dodge bums and drug dealers. i have been to 3d world countries all over the world while on active duty and i can say that it actually smelled worse. even in the business district where our hotel was, they were every where. open air drug dealing and people openly smoking weed just blew my mind.
now let's get into the protesting bull shit as well. cops had most of the streets blocked off and were diverting us away but they were everywhere. we were walking along the street and my son got shot by a car speeding by with paint balls. that's how our trip went and i am completely blown away that citizens allow this nonsense to go on.

Damn guns, are you kidding? Your boy got shot with paint balls? Good thing y'all are not black or there would have been riots.

We went to San Fran 3 years ago and the owners of businesses had to use pooper scoopers around their entrances before opening and they sprayed down the areas with pump up sprayers some kind of disinfectant and deodorant.

My son drove down to Austin which used to be such a cool town. It is an absolute dump now, has been for a few years. He stayed to eat with his old highschool pal then drove home after 3 hours as he was going to stay for the long weekend. He said it was too sketchy to go out and try to have fun with all the roving wanna be antifa and stuff. Not to mention aggressive homeless.

Holy shit Guns thats crazy. These democrat controlled cities are all going to hell. Well, hope the contest went good for you at least.
The same thing has happened to Denver. It used to be an awesome city, then the left wing democrats took it over and now downtown Denver is a carbon copy of san francisco, with human shit pilled up outside businesses and the park by the capital building is nothing but a tent city for homeless drug addicts with piles of trash everywhere. Last week they had a Back the Police rally in Denver, BLM showed up and beat the shit out of 50 innocent people while the cops stood back and watched. Not a single arrest was made and the liberal democrat mayor said "let BLM riot, loot and burn!".

I had to go to NY for 2 days. Streets were 70% less crowded than a year ago. Manhattan gyms just opened when I was there, they have been closed since March!!! The funniest thing I saw were the cops guarding the Columbus statue at Columbus circle right next to Central park!!! Had a big freaking fence around it plus 24 hour police patrols!!! Lots of pot smoking on the train and on the streets!!! NY is fucked, it is going to crumble because 90% of the wealthy have left. Their tax income will be down God knows how much this year..........crime is going to skyrocket.

You can fly round trip pretty much anywhere in the USA right now for less than $100. Im thinking of flying to Malibu around Christmas for a weekend on the beach.

the hotels still eat your ass up and everything is closed or modified. having door dash at the hotels sucks ass haha. i live near the beach so i really have no where to go. would like to hit vegas though but that brings a whole other level of risk. i am headed down to myrtle beach here in a couple weeks anyway but you are right flights are cheap as hell

Well, the number of people who were visiting these countries kept the same because people from other countries came here, and some of them didn't have any good options.
