I spent a few days up in the Cascades and took some pictures of a couple of fires near me. One is the White Water creek fire next to Mt.Jefferson caused by lightning last week, the other is the Opal Creek fire caused by a campfire some a$$hole left burning despite the burn ban and 90 degree heat. These are looking to the sw and se of me maby 30mi. Oh, also is Timur Korchinskiy's illegal fire and trash he left. He left a receipt is how I got the name, can't tell you how many fires I have to put out and how much trash I bring home.

It's amazing how big those fires get, just thousands of acres in a matter of hours. I'm going to do a tour of the Cascade lakes Tuesday to sorta finish out the season. It's been a lotta fun so far I can't wait to show ya'll the beautiful views ! Have a great weekend everyone ! [emoji3052][emoji488][emoji894][emoji482][emoji16]

Damn that's crazy how those fires catch on like that. Makes me so angry when they're caused by stupid ass people. On a side note, those are some amazing views!

the forest service as well as these liberal states need to stop being so pc about forest management for starters. this could eliminate a lot of the damage these things cause in a lot of places. i did a forestry course way back when and when applied properly it is possible to manage this stuff pretty well. now like you said, people also have to do their part and leaving garbage and being an ass hole should carry one hell of a hefty fine and prison time imo. these fucks all scream about protecting the earth and all that hippie bull shit but they are the first to trash the hell out of it and leave a mess. i know lightning causes a lot of the fires also but again with proper forest management the risk can be lowered quite a bit

Several towns have been evacuated since midnight, and 30 plus miles are closed as well. We had 35 to 60 mi an hour high winds since 15:00 which stoked everything. Trees hitting powerlines have fires scattered everywhere ! It's 10am and it looks like 20:30 already ! 20200908_070911.jpg

No way could I live in a place with the threat of fires looming over all the time. I say that but we have occasional tornadoes and hail storms.

Dude, me too. Just because, no allergies really, mountains, land is cheap in rural areas, hunting and fishing and NO DAMN TORNADOES!

Same here brotha. I get so tired of hurricane season sometimes. Mix that in with the occasional tornado. We also get a lot of hail in my neck of the woods during springtime. Crazy how much havoc the weather can deal out sometimes.

I've seen some pics of the red orange skies. It is eerie yet oddly kind of cool. Absolutely terrible the distruction it is causing to people and their homes.

It's pretty bad, over 500,000 people have been evacuated ! My mom and stepdad have been stuck sleeping in their car for the last couple of days because they are under a level 3 evacuation. Most of the areas are shut down so I can't get to them. Those pictures that I posted ? All that is gone ! Several upon several cities and towns are burnt down and gone, at least four are dead and 18 or so are missing in the Santiam Canyon area. So many Summers I've spent up there are over. I just feel so bad for everyone that has lost their homes they grew up in and their livelihoods destroyed. What's worse is that you have these sick fuc#$ who are sneaking into those vacated homes and looting. Some home owners are banning together and shooting those who do. I'm ready to take scalps if they try that s#it here ! The phone pics make it lighter than it is, it's much darker here. I will have more as soon as things open up. 20200908_155611.jpg20200908_155556.jpg

they do that same shit here with hurricanes man. that's why a lot of people dont evacuate because if their homes arent destroyed they get robbed blind. even a cat 3 or bigger hurricane people will still refuse to leave just for that fact

Not only are these s#it bags looting, they're deliberately setting more fires ! This piece of s#it got caught behind someone's house setting it on fire, so far two bodies were recovered so far as a result.(I'm surprised he still has a face.)Other ones are setting off fireworks in the woods. 20200912_091033.jpg
