Re: car carry pistol
My dash is all plastic. No where to mount a magnet and I am not putting holes in it.
My old jeep I had there was a lot of room under the seat. I put a sliding lock box there. When I get in I would automatically reach down without looking and unlock it before starting the jeep. When I got out, on auto pilot I would lock it.

Re: car carry pistol
If you cannot see the bottom of the dash and plan on keeping the truck you can drill and mount a plastic fobus holster to the lower dash. My buddy does this in all his trucks. Double sided tape lets go in the heat.Originally posted by dirtwarrior View PostMy car is a 2012 Colorado truck. I keep it fairly clean but in the end it is a tool. My lower dash is plastic but I will figure a way.

Re: car carry pistol
EMP is a fantastic pistol. One of the finest I have ever shot. I love the compact 1911 ergos. 9mm is plenty. I will say I still carry a striker fired pistol ion my car as if you carry cocked and locked you have to draw, take off the safety and aim (Practice makes perfect) and then fire on that butter smooth trigger. You have 1 step more than me. I pull aim fire and do not have to worry about it.Originally posted by Arx International View PostSpringfield armory emp!
In the center console!
I would suggest velcro over magnets!
Or simply mount a holster!
That said I sometimes carry a CZ75 C which is DA/SA and has a safety. (the best shooting gun I have ever shot)
