Thanksgiving plans?

We are going to have dinner with my mom, dad, sis and her fam. Watch football and take a nap. Nothing big.

I'm going to the coast and hanging with my folks, I'm going to make a couple of apple pies to bring. Pretty much get fat and watch the tube huh ?

My sis is a far left liberal. i do not have to do more than say something like "Hey dad, still having problems with your car's tranny?" My sis will interject regardless of context to say that is sleight to trans people. I argue that it is an abbreviation for transmission. She will say she does not care. So I double down and go straight 7 year old..... "tranny tranny tranny tranny tranny........" over and over. then I call her a doodoo head and laugh.

Oh and do not get me started if "white christmas" comes on. She will say "This could offend African Americans!" I tell her "1. Context, what fuqking color is snow? 2. There ain't no black folk up in this house at the moment and if there were they would not be offended because they are smarter than you....doodoo head!"

Yeah it is tough dealing with her.

Well for the last few years, on Thanksgiving Ive started my own tradition where I go to the gym in the morning and then whatever comes, comes.
Maybe dinner with the family.
Maybe go to my Uncles house have food, beer, and football.
Maybe go to a friends house and have food.
Whatever it is, I’m just thankful I have a healthy so and that god is helping me complete and reach my goals.

Getting together with family and eating my butt off. Looking forward to turkey, pie and my favorite side dish green bean casserole. We will usually make and entire green bean casserole just for me lol.

Smoked turkey and a pork belly yesterday. I cut off the breasts and vacuum sealed them to take to my folks for TG dinner. they turned out awesome.

I can smell that from here ! Gotta say that is one of the things I miss about Texas, the food !

my grown kid is coming home and we are having a few friends over. so i am going to eat until i pop (mainly ham and sweet potato casserole) then i am going to eat some more. only one of a few days that i pretty much have a free day to eat whatever i want for the day. i will also train and do cardio butt crack early to get it out of the way
