Good grief. My Ford raptor has 67,000 miles on it and the shocks are feeling like crap. Every bump is BAM! So I look online for the stock Fox shocks..OMG..Its like $650 per wheel. I found a place in Texas that does shock rebuilds for $150 per wheel. I have to send my shocks down there to them for about a week. They send a set of temporary shocks until they get mine rebuilt.
Anyone ever had your shocks rebuilt? Its a big savings over new shocks. I hope it works
it looks like they have shock exchanges.. i bought shocks for my truck on amazon but i dont have fox shocks just a 06 super duty.. seen some used on ebay but you never know how long they will last...i didnt know the raptors had shocks like this on them..
raptors are f150 svt. work at 70K with a work pick up makes sense to me. as long as the longhorns know their sh!t you will be good to go. Temp shocks does say something about their business.
Ok, I am finding there are a lot of places that rebuild shocks. Found another place that sends you already rebuilt shocks, then you send your old ones back to them and they rebuild them for the next customer. That way you dont have to deal with the hassle of temporary replacement shocks while they rebuild yours and send them back. Im probably going to order a set. Theyre around $500 for 4
Not too long, free 30 day warranty or you can pay extra for a 1 year warranty. So its a bit of a gamble. Thats just one company but not sure about the others. Im willing to take the chance and hope I can get 50,000 out of the rebuilt shocks. The way this truck is riding now, its rattling my teeth every time I hit a bump
They did the shocks on my jeep. I did not do the basic rebuild which I think is fine and will last at least as long as the stock shocks. I bought some used fox shocks off a member in my old jeep club. He told me they were shot. But like you said, cheaper to rebuild. They worked GREAT! I told them I had a 2dr jeep tire size and life and they custom rebuilt them. I saved $$$ as we got to Austin several times a year so I dropped them off, went to Austin for the weekend (ONly 3 hours away) then they shipped em back when done. I needed no loaners as I had rubi shock on already.
anyway that is awesome i bet it makes a HUGE diff.

Is this it? I called them and this is the place that sends lender shocks while they rebuild mine
Yepper. they do a lot shocks not just raptor. They have a few mixed reviews but I had goods luck. My shocks were admittedly bad when i bought them being well used. I never had them on the jeep so I cannot tell you they were better. but i will say they were better than the rubi shocks by a large margin.
