1- it is one thing to get murdered by someone that has the right to be here in the first place. someone that doesnt have the right should not be here and this individual incident could have been stopped by enforcing the damn law. anyone that agrees with illegal entry into this country is a damn fool when they say they are good people and dont break the law. bull shit they broke the law by coming here to start with and most are also guilty of id theft. which will land any of us in the big house for a long ass time. so this is all bull from the start for her and her family.
2- no one should be running out alone especially a woman. not just for getting kidnapped or killed but medical emergency or getting hurt. so a buddy is always best.
3-if you do have to be alone carry a weapon. another good reason for second amendment rights esp for a woman.
4- dont run with both head phones in when solo. just common sense and having situation awareness at all times is a must. you cant trust anyone and taking away one of your senses is handicapping you big time.
i feel very bad for her and her family since this damn sure should have never happened in the first place. the company that employed this piece of shit should also get hammered with fines and penalties for employing him. same goes for the rest of these companies that do the same damn thing
I see little women running alone all the time. Usually with headphones, spandex top and short shorts. Ive seen them in bright hot pink. I often think "Does that girl know how dangerous that is, all alone and looking like a target for a nut case?"
My wife walks by herself. She carries pepper spray. I fear if she had a gun it would be 50/50 on shooting herself or the attacker. she showed me how she carries the spray. It is ready to go with a small flick of the safety. pepper spray will stop just about damn near anyone. I refused to qualify at work to carry pepper spray as even the weakened training stuff hurts like hell. the legit LE stuff is inconceivable. yeah some druqqed up folk can take it but I think they are statistically a very small percentage of attackers. (like PCP or wacked out on massive amounts of coke or speed)

It actually surprises me how many women I see out running/walking alone. My wife and I will go walking, or jogging at some of the big parks around the city and there are always women out running alone. Some of those trails get pretty secluded too. It always amazes me when we pass one running alone. Both headphones in, or staring down at her phone not paying attention at all. Crazy.

I see it most in the city as well. As creepy as it is to say it is a reality they are making themselves easy prey. Btw, pretty cool couple's activity to go on walks together. Conversation and people watching is always better with your best friend lol.
Yes, thats a good thing to do . I see hot looking women, dressed in their sexiest jogging attire, just running along by themselves with headphones on. Maybe more women are going to think twice about doing that

My wife has taken up running recently. She goes alone, but always to a well scoped out place where there are people around, specifically for her safety.

I'll add that she has recently gotten interested in shooting, self defense and owning a handgun. Thank God. But so far no classes or training and no gun. That aside, living here in the liberal northeast, the likelihood of getti g a carry permit of any kind is so slim; nevermind the likely legal remifications of even a legit self defense shooting make that a non-starter as a viable means of protection. She's better off with some pepper spray and training. I will suggest that she look into that.

I know what you mean all too well. As long as your lady has a spotless record she will get her license to carry no problem. Govt needs money esp your liberal friends lol jk. They get a piece of every dollar from the very beginning. And the classes they offer now will hold your hand from the get go to actual certification. It could be awkward to carry on a run but they have so much cool stuff to holster a sidearm it shouldnt pose a problem if she wants to carry on a run.
