i think the entire war on drugs is a huge waste of time and money. legalize it all to adults, dont give them any benefits if they mess themselves up and regulate the piss out of it all. less gov and more choice would be a better approach to everything. funny thing is their are a few countries in the world where everything is legal and their crime rates are damn near non existent.

Guns you are right. Even shit like speed or H, legalize it and use the $$$ WASTED on incarceration for treatment of those addicted. Check out Portugal's model. Drug use is actually down now that they decriminalized it.

And weed?! it is benign for the most part. Obviously it is not without SOME health consequences like the weed lobby wants us to believe but it is far less dangerous than alcohol and tobacco.

It is puritanical nonsense. There is a lot of $$$ involved too from the alcohol lobbies to keep weed illegal as it will hurt sales. Also from stupid ass unions. It is not just ignorant bible thumpers. Prison workers union WANTS weed illegal as many prisons are for profit businesses and illegal weed mean more people in prison, more union members, more $$$$.

Take lobbies out of DC and I bet the whole USA would have legal weed within 5 years.

Oh and here is the thing. I tried weed several times as a kid and do not like it one bit. BUT i do believe it should be legal and taxed.

i agree.. i have never used it and dont thing i would but i am all for using it for medical reasons.. who the fuck are you tell me or my family they cant use that if that helps the issue or pain.. one big hurdle is the drug companies thats were the money comes from on those who are against it..

I struggle with this issue. Some years I am all gung ho legalize it and other years I am against it. The lack of personal responsibility people have is scary. Not only personal responsibility but how we don't hold each other accountable for their actions. This is a symptom of a larger problem....

Anything that will cut down on drinking of alcohol is good. Anything that will cut down on pharmaceutical drugs is good. Better to never need anything, but if youre going to take something it should be weed before that crap. Just my 2 CCs
