I remember when Myspace was way bigger than facebook. Then when facebook came along, I said there is no way facebook will ever be as popular as Myspace. Whoever the owner of myspace is, he must be a complete idiot for letting it go down the toilet. Myspace made meeting people so easy it was ridiculous. Gawd I miss that place.Comment

When Facebook first opened up, I used it strictly as a dating site. I was only on there to meet chicks. Not sure what year that was..like 2008 or something I had like 100 friends on facebook and not a single one was as dude. I would scroll thru facebook and send friend requests to women I didnt even know lol...Then a male friend from highschool friended me and sent me a message and said "Dude, all your friends on facebook are chicks, wtf?" lol...Then facebook evolved to a site that every human on earth is on and definitely not a dating site like it was at first. Facebook will never be what myspace was in its heyday.Comment

i have been married so long that i have never had the internet experience personally. i will say i would rather meet someone in person to date. hook up is a tad bit different but date no way. hearing some horror stories of my junior marines would have been enough for me not to have partaken in the event. one of my guys showed up to take a chick out and an old dude answered the door and said yeah man, come on in she's in the shower. no way he peeled out. next weekend a dude got the hell beat out of him and robbed in a similar situation in the same area. that same dude had a chicks husband show up at his door because she told him he banged her. huge brawl broke out cause his buddies came to his rescue. long story short the barracks cleared out and the mp's had to be called. dude that started the whole thing got away and never got caught haha. he is still single and doing dumb stuff like that to this very day.TGBSupplements REP

Yes, it can be dangerous. Ive had estranged husbands text me because their wife was on POF pretending to be a single woman. One dude sent me a text that said "Hey asshole, she's married"...an hour later the girl calls me and apologizes and said her ex husband stole her phone. crazy shit like that happens sometimesComment

My wife and I actually met online years ago. I was always busy with work and the gym, I honestly just got tired of trying to go out and meet people. I dated a couple girls from the gym over the years, but that always sucked when the relationship ended trying to go to the same gym or find a new one. I just said screw it one day and set up a profile on one of the popular free online dating sites. Went on a bunch of dates, some of them are pretty cool and some of them were complete nightmares. Then one day I got a message from this beautiful woman that sounded amazing. I was about ready to shut it down, but decided to give it one more chance. Thank goodness I did lol.Train Till Your Eyes Bleed!

For me it was my only option. I tried it for a couple of months again last fall, and decided to just say f#ck it. You gotta' be at least 6', under 40, a career or lots of money, the right color d!ck,..list goes on. Hopefully they are from the same state but wind up from Africa or some island somewhere. Back in the day when I was first diagnosed I used to fly and meet women here and there but it got pretty expensive to just kept getting screwed royal. It's funny to see just how material and impersonal women are on there, I mean s#it we're not in highschool or starting another family ! Attractive Single/ Divorced female, lonely and loves the outdoors and sports, within 500 miles, Perfect ! But then there's this list of requirements of who I have to be ? I got the compatibility thing but c'mon. If I where to list something like that I'd sound like a pig. I don't have any problem talking to women outside of that. We like eachother, and have plenty of time now in our lives to have some fun together. So what's the big deal ? I don't get it and am too old and over it for all the games. It's like waking up to Christmas morning and finding nothing under the tree, over and over when you check the Inbox on your profile.Leaders did what others weren't willing to do, now they enjoy the things that others do not.

I was texting with one girl on pof when suddenly her husband starts texting me telling me to leave his wife alone. About an hour later she texts me and says "Im so sorry my ex did that. He broke his restraining order and stole my phone and contacted you. He is back in jail now as we speak" I told her "No thanks , Im outta here" She replies, "Oh well, thats fine cuz you werent my type anyway" lmaoComment
