Whenever we travel, one of the first things Fuzo does is look for the nearest gym. He usually comes back telling me that they had an old machine that he used to love. I guess some gyms do not always update their equipment but we all know that like anything, some old stuff is better than the new.
What was your fave old machine that you no longer see around? Post up a pic and tell us about it
I was just in San Antonio and trained 2 days at the Olympic Gym not too far from the airport. They had a bench press that you could adjust the height on. Have not seen one in at least 5 years. Plus that gym had TONS of stuff that was "old school" plus all the old timers bodybuilders pics on the wall was cool.
It's not necessarily a machine, but I miss the old T Bar row platform without the chest pad. Where you basically stand on the platform and row from the ground. All gyms seem to have nowadays is the t-bar row with the chest pad.
the first gym i went had a hydraulic neck machine. I think they used it for football a lot. you put your head in this "cage" that had the plastic cushions that had glitter in them like old diner booth cushions. and you move your head forward and backwards and the little hydraulic pistons created resistance. I loved that thing.
"SHIAT BIOTCH, thats a big ass!"

i used to love the old cybex machines. you really dont see them around to much any more though. the nautlus(sp) originals are also good. my old high school gym was decked out with a bunch of their stuff. another one you very rarely see is the no shit vertical leg press. i asked a dude that i know that is in the equipment business about why no one really makes those or why you really never see them anymore. he told me that they are notorious for causing both back injuries and heart issues. if you think about it it does make sense to. you have two of the largest muscles in your body raised up in the air and under a load. now your body is trying to pump max blood into them up hill. kind of scary if you have an underlying issue that you arent aware of
