Re: Training partner..Yes? No?
I used to have a guy at the gym that I was friendly with, we used to train legs together once in awhile and we both seemed to motivate each other.....for the most part though I train by myself
when I was doing dc training, sometimes I wish I had someone there though just in case

Re: Training partner..Yes? No?
I like alone some times and with a partner on other times. I have found a partner forces me to be honest...to try harder...and to actually go to the gym if I do not feel like it.

Re: Training partner..Yes? No?
I let my cousin workout with me sometimes or just use my equipment if our scedules arent right. It nice to have a spotter on bench for me bc of my messed up hand/shoulder, but on really intense days i prefer to be alone, bc the partner just slows me down and i rest too much. Besides th fact I use training as a kind of therapy. Its my only thing I do only just for me.

Re: Training partner..Yes? No?
just dropped a pair of those myself. too slow and always complaining and making a scene. i stick with the mrs and a my strongman buddy for the most part or roll solo nowadaysOriginally posted by Skeletor View PostYeah I hate the "hard look" as well lol. I usually do my thing and keep to myself.
I used to have a training partner but he wasn't very motivated. Whenever something got hard he would just complain about everything. Had to go solo after that.
Benefits for me was someone to talk to and bounce ideas off of.

Re: Training partner..Yes? No?
I've trained alone for ages now. A good solid workout partner is a great way to push yourself....but as u all said I find it hard to find someone who isn't flaky or they wanna bullshit more then train. I also usually don't like the extra down time u have with a partner. I prefer to make the most of my hour and be done.
When I get into benching I'll grab a spotter.
Solo for me!

Alone. I dont talk to anyone and I walk around with a scowl on my face lol Just kidding about the scowl part, but I crack up at those guys who walk around in the gym trying to look mean

Re: Training partner..Yes? No?
i have had a few partners but for the most part their a pain in the ass. never on time or don't show, not as driven. now having said that the guy i am training with now is great, we both compete but are different weights and ages so we are not in direct competion, we try and do the same meets. i do have to work around his schedule but that is a minor inconvenience.
