  • Freemotion Machines

My gym got some free motion machines. I have walked past them many times going to other pieces of equipment. I have been using them the last 4 times at the gym. I must admit I like them a lot. They have the full gamete of them it seems. A total of 12 in all.
    Do you all like them?

If its what I'm thinking of, then I use them for flys and cable curls.

they could have their place but it seems like a lot of gyms are replacing the free weight and older machines with these. my gym has a whole section of them and i never go over there at all. i many see the trainers using them old people and wilderbeasts. not knocking the machines because like i said they have their place but i like the older ones much better

Theyre okay. I only see them at 24 hr fitness and other high end type gyms.
At least they dont lock you in to one plane of motion, like a smith machine, which is essentially a piece of junk.

I'm still a fan of good ol free weights, simple cable system, and hammer strength (which my current gym has none of )

two of the gyms i train at have the original series of hs. they have just reapolstered the pads a few times. that's how good the hammer strength line of equipment is. the one gym i have went to since 1998 and the other 2002.
