I haven't used that in a long time. I need to jump back on it, gives me one hell of a pump in my arms and shoulders.

You can really get the heart rate up using the rope, too. I don't have one but have used it in the past.

I’ve never done them. Is there a certain form or do you just gorilla duck those ropes until you can’t?

Like Guns said, keep them moving. I've had them in both hands; knees bent, back straight; then raise them up high and slap hard down on the floor. Do this at a good pace for 30 seconds or a minute and you'll be surprised at how winded you'll get!

It does not take long for the arms to cease wanting to move the ropes up and down. we also do 2 rope tug-a-war on the mat. Instead of just grabbing one rope and pulling you have one in each hand and canswitch stances and pull your opponent back and forth. It is a blast and 1 minute rounds are killer!
