      do you have to have the same style of plate on both sides? all facing the same way? i do and if i start with a certain style of db or plate i will not change it up during a set. they all have to be the same

        Know what you mean man. It's like a mental thing for a lot of people, like it has to be an even number they fail on. I find myself now just going to failure without even counting the reps

          yuuuuup. and if they are different style plates i make sure to grad two and put them in the same position on both sides.

              haha, i am not the only nut. i will pull them all off of one side if someone i am training with does it wrong. it drives me nuts

                Doesn't everyone do this??? LMAO! I know they don't... I train in my own gym in my basement. I have 4 different style plates. Not only must I have a symmetrical stack on each side of the barbell; but they have to go on the weight trees in the proper order.... This is something that makes me grind my teeth whenever I work out at a commercial gym... I wind up rearranging plates on storage trees! Nuts, nuts, NUTS!

                  I do but 13 is my number and I hate even numbers. I usually do sets of 9 or 11 reps.
