Urs Kalecinski to open?

Heard a rumor that Urs might be thinking of switching to open one day soon. I saw a video where he was training with Markus Ruhl and he looked great.

shit he has the ability to dominate in the classic division so unless it's a weight thing i wouldnt see why he would. he has the perfect frame for classic and i just dont see him doing well against the mass monsters in the open unless he really blows up

Yeah, he wouldn't make it in open if he doesn't put on some serious size. I do think it's a weight thing. From what I was hearing is he's at the weight cap which would make it hard to stay in classic and move up, so moving to open eventually might be his only option. I'm a fan of the kid. I think he has a ton of potential, so it'll be interesting to see which way he goes.

yeah man, he has great structure dials it in really well and is young. he could do some serious damage for years to come for sure
