  • Flex Lewis Competing in Mens Open 2020

Flex Lewis accepted a special invitation for men's open in 2020 Olympia. This is something I've been wanting to see since he said he was retiring from the 212. He's got a lot of muscle packed on his frame. It's gonna be interesting to see how he stands up next to the other guys.

Hell yeah. This year is looking pretty good so far with the big competitions. The Schwarzenegger classic in the next couple weeks has a stacked lineup with big Ramy coming back as well. With flex Lewis accepting the invitation for men's open at the Olympia and now Athleticon shortly after, I'm pumped for 2020.

As poor as the guys are right now I suppose he has a small chance to make top 10. But just compare him to William Bonac who is a similar height. Come on, if I was Flex Lewis I would pray that they do not put me next to him.

In the late 90's, early 2000's it seemed like guys just kept getting bigger and harder. I figured by now it would be made up of a bunch of competitors that looked way better than anything we had ever seen. It obviously did not go that way.

What is the reason that BB's consistently made huge leaps from the 70's, to 80's to 90's early 2000's but then stopped improving? My guess is that the guys in the late 90's were the first to consistently use pharmaceutical grade HGH, Insulin with cytomel or synthroid along with the anabolics always used. They became bigger and harder than the top guys before them. In addition you just had a lot of guys who really could have been Mr. Olympia competing at the same time. It was just a great era. You put Flex Wheeler at his best against one of todays lineups or Kevin Levrone everyone just go home. its over before it even starts. Nasser, Shawn Ray, Chris Cormier, I would even go so far as giving Melvin Anthony a shot against todays lineup. The other three and Flex and Kevin I have no doubt would be Mr. O today.
