I have never had a problem storing my test for a few (3 + or -) years. As long as it's out of sunlight and direct heat.

I agree and will add it would be ideal to keep the vials upright. The oil will eat away at the stopper and enter your gear over time.

what dk said is the most important. dont let the oil rest on the rubber stoppers

Yep, I've had some a few years before taking them. Stored upright and in a cool dark place, you should be good.
