Of course strict diet & training are also part of her program, to be clear. Can you guys talk a little more about var vs. clen/t3/etc in terms of likelihood of sides and short/long term health concerns? I know there is no cookie cutter, everyone is different, but this is one of her main concerns for the time being.
fist just posted this yesterday: http://www.fitnessgeared.com/forum/t...to-lose-weight

var is an aas clen is a drug used to treat breathing disorders and is a beta 2 agonist and t3 is a thyroid hormone. all three are entirely different and do completely different things in the body.
let's see where to start. t3 hum someone can use t3 one time and ruin their own production for life and be stuck on the medication forever. ask baby1 about needing to be on a these types of meds. they come with a long list of possible side effects. not to mention when you mess this one up a side effect is a ton of weight gain
clen: works for about 2-3wks before the receptors are burned out and saturated. it works by stimulating the cns and makes most people shake like a person with parkinsons disease. it is very hard oh the heart and causes a pretty sharp rise in bp. neither of the first two are a good choice for someone that isnt in the best of shape or over weight.
var has already been covered pretty good. idk what would be considered "healthier" because putting male hormones in a female's body isnt quite what i would call healthy. and as already pointed out you are going to see weight gain with this product and if you arent pretty lean to begin with you probably are only going to see a little boost in strength and that's about it. you are not going to see any enhancements to the physique whatsoever.

i will get hammered on this by some but i am pretty sure baby1 will back me on the t3. no way in hell your friend should be using t3. clen is a roll of the dice and like i already posted before work your ass off till you hit a plateau then worry about adding in fat burners and such. the only one of the three you have listed that may not show any sides is the var but then again that is just a guess and not 100% because it is possible. if this "friend" is die hard at needing supplemental help i would steer them toward incinderine or a fat burner that is otc to start out with. and again like i have already said 10x before, if the diet and training isnt on point then money is just being pissed away with anything you take

Most EXCELLENT Guns!!! I personally think that nobody should mess around with their thyroid, women especially, are more prone to thyroid issues. In my case it is genetic from my Moms side. I still have never even taken the T4 that I was prescribed 2 years ago as I continue to persue foods that are helpful for the thyroid. A whacked out thyroid can alson cause a big change in ones mental behavior such as being bi-polar. Tell her to forget about the t3.

      Now the clen...guns already covered.

Honestly I think the BEST place for her to start with would be some blood testing to see where some hormone levels are before she would dive into such supplements.

If the doc wont do some tests that are requested, there is always PrivateMDLabs that she can go to and get exactly what she wants. They always have a monthly discount code too. We have a labcorp right near here where she can go.

One more thing about the anavar, many a times it is not really anavar so she needs to be careful. Fuzo knew a girl at the gym, only about 20 years old, that decided she wanted to lose fat. She came up and told fuzo what she was taking and how she feels so terrible and has gained so much water weight. She had to be given Lasix from her doc. She then found out she was taking something that was not anavar and something that women shouldn't even take. So there is an example of an uneducated person who just takes what they think they are getting in hopes of quick, easy results only to find themselves in a not so good feeling of themselves.

        Re: WOMEN AND ANAVAR

Anavar gets faked with small doses of dbol/winny together alot. That would not be good at all for a woman to take.

A girl I know has been on anavar for several months. She likes it a lot and all I remember her saying is that it enlarged her clitoris lol
