I had a fiend that had the same problem as you.
He was not on anything but he sprained his ankle real bad. I remember he would push on his shin and it would leave an inpression for a few min. Our trainer said it was not a big deal and its just fluid.
Have you injured yourself at any point or reinjured it? I would not get to freaked out about it will go away soon. You might want to call a doc or somebody with some medical experience to save your identity.

that dimple.. u say it goes away when u push it for few sec... u think it might be a faulty valve in ur vein? that's how u usually get them, when u over train ur legs... or when u stand a long time during the day, etc... and usually thay appear in that area as well....
i personally have a dimple as well on my right shin... like half an inch to the right of it actually... and usually i can't tell it's there unless i work out my legs hard, and also when i crotch i can feel it there.. and when i puch on it it goes away... i noticerd that 2 months after my last cycle... (at that time i wasn't working out, had to take off some time cuz of arm/shoulder injuries)....
anyways, i talked to my doc about it (just told her i was curious what it was) and she told me it's most likely a faulty valve in one of my veins...
u have have "V" shaped valves in ur leg veins.. and the only open if the blood goes up... and closes when it starts going down... (so that the blood wouldn't flow back to ur toes).... anyways if u train hard, stand on ur legs for a long time etc, those valves get sometimes weak and start leaking... and all that extra blood accumulates at the next best valve.. and because of its amount it tends to swell up, and make that "dimple" on ur leg....if u push on it for a bit it, u will move it from the spot, till the blood accumulates again (shortly after)...
anyways.. that might also be a possibility...
but like the other members said, go see ur doc... it won't hurt

Have we frighten you enough that you'll go to see a doctor? Good!

Let us know what it is!

We wish you that is just something like not drinking enough water!!!

Yeah man, you don't want to take risks with shit like this. Just go to your doc and see what's up. Hope everything is cool.

As a side, have you tried looking at WebMD? Everytime I look at it though, I think I have something really bad and go to the doc immediately, only to find out that my self-diagnosis was off the mark.

go to the doctor and tell him about your AS use. you have nothing to lose by going.

What you have is called peripheral edema... it IS a symptom of Liver and/or Kidney failure. If you can sink your fingers into your tissue and it leaves 'pits'(pitted edema)... it is already at a point of seriousness that you MUST see a Doctor about.

In mid October, I was in week 11 of a Prop/Winstrol cycle when I noticed very bad swelling in my feet and ankles. I thought it was water retention from the Prop, so I ceased the cycle immediately and started HCG/Nolva then Clomid. The swelling of my lower limbs continued... in fact, it got worse. In mid November, I went to see a Doctor about it.

I'm in Renal(Kidney) failure... I had a Kidney biopsy on February 5th. I(offically)have been diagnosed with Membranous Nephrotic Syndrome. What's happening is that my Kidneys are spilling large amounts of Protein into my urine that they're supposed to be retaining in the blood. Having low amounts of Protein/Albumen in the blood had caused my blood to be 1.) Hyper-coagulant(clots too easily) 2.) Hyper-lipid(cholesterol^) and of course 3.) Massive amounts of edema. The edema that was initially restricted to my ankles/feet had radiated throughout my legs, groin, and waist during Dec/Jan. It completely ravaged me... I didn't even recognize my own body during that time.

I was hospitalized for a week following the biopsy... as I developed a large pulmonary embolism(blood clot)in my left Lung. I nearly died from it Bro. My Kidney dysfunction has left my blood in a really bad state and I'm on a lot of medication right now. The good news is this... everything I have wrong with me is curable. I should be as good as new in 6 months. However, I don't know if I'll ever be able to do AAS again. The Doctors have me on some amazing medication... I'm feeling just awesome now, I've got about 1/5th the edema I had 3 weeks ago(my body is looking great: 5'10" 185lbs 10%BF), and I'm having great workouts again.

Go see a Physician... ASA-fucking-P! Keep us updated as to what transpires.

                        Peace,
                        Scott.

How do you tell the difference between bloat from gear and symptom of Liver and/or Kidney failure? I'm on deca 400mg and test eth 500mg and my ankles are holding water. Now I'm scared!

While on a Test/Deca cycle you SHOULD have sock rings Bro... that's the norm. So don't worry. However, pitted edema is NOT normal. If he's got swelling all the way up his shin.... he needs to see a Doctor quick. The poor guy has no bloat anywhere else... that's how I know we're talking about something other than Estrogen related water retention.
