Damn you guys have got me scared. I can't even remember when I didn't have sock rings. I told my doc a few months ago I thought I was having kidney probs. He had me piss in a cup and checked it in the office said I was fine. how in the hell do they check for kidney probs in a docs office. I think I'm going in for a second opinion.

Not to refute any of the great info already posted, but my first cycle which included 50mg d-bol ed, and 500 mg TT sust/wk made both my legs swell up like they had been at the bottom of a lake for a few days......I DID go see the doc, though, and he told me to limit sodium intake, drink lots of water, blah, blah, blah. Honestly, I think my reactions could've been a shock my system was having to these new foreign substances being put into my body. I do have a question though, wouldn't liver failure be predicated by jaundice and a yellowing of the whites of the eyes??

If the edema was caused by Liver failure... yes you would have congruent symptoms of jaundice, abdominal swelling, etc. However, in my case my Liver is still functioning at 105%... so I have none of the aforementioned symptoms. Its my Kidneys, and only my Kidneys, that are causing the problems.

After all I've gone though in the past 4 months... I wouldn't even want to imagine if BOTH my Liver and my Kidneys had gone tits-up.

Since my last cycle - actually, since reading your posts over on elite, Scotty. I go in before, during, and after a cycle and get blood work done. I don't know about you guys, but my health is important to me and I love life. I look forward to growing old and grey with my wife - I am not about to chance sacrificing that for an extra 10 lbs of muscle.
The burden of originality is one that most people don't want to accept. They'd rather sit in front of the TV and let that tell them what they are suppose to like, what they're suppose to buy, and what they're suppose to laugh at. You have Beavis and Butthead telling you what music you're allowed to like and not like, and you've got sitcoms that have canned laughter that lets you know when to laugh if you're too stupid to know when the joke is. People are too lazy and too stupid to think for themselves because America has raised them that way.

Good god, how common is this in healthy people on a moderate to mild cycle - say 500mg/wk Test Enanthate for 10-12 weeks ?

Not common at all... I'd say.

I know lots of sauce hounds who are doing 1-2 grams/week of drugs and they've never even come close to organ failure. My Doctors don't even think my Renal dysfunction was caused by AAS, as I've never used a steroid that has been proven to be Kidney toxic. They suspect it 'could' have been caused by some bad(Vet)HCG that gave me a urinary tract infection last August. I got rid of that particular batch of HCG and got a hold of some human grade Pregnyl to finish my cycle with a few months later. However, by that time I already had serious prolems with edema and my Kidneys had clearly began to fail.

Alright guys... I have an update from Baxter. He PM'd me at Elite Fitness.

He went to his Doctor and told him about the edema... the Doctor immediately accused him of AAS use, which he denied. The Doctor wanted to do a blood/urine work-up, but Baxter said he "didn't have health insurance"(as he was scared he'd test positive for AAS) so it didn't get done. Baxter got a script for Lasix... that's it.

You guys need to encourage him to get blood and urine samples analyzed... that's the ONLY way he will receive a proper diagnosis. The Lasix he has will only treat the symptoms... and only for a while. Whatever organ is failing... will continue to deteriorate until a proper diagnosis is made and he can be treated.

                            Peace,
                            Scott.

Oh man - that is no good!!
He needs to find a new doctor if his doc is being a dick about it.
