Injection speed

Not referring to how fast you push the plunger, but how fast you push the needle in the muscle. Just a funny thought I had the other day when doing my shot, I've always inserted the needle EXTREMELY slow. Never really thought about it until the other day, I was trying to hurry and still... extremely slow. Made me curious if I was the only one that did that. Everytime I've gone to the doctor and got a shot, it's usually pretty quick. However, when I do it myself I go extremely slow. Everyone else go slow? Or am I alone on that one lol.

I do the same thing - super slow. I am sure it actually hurt more but I can do it any faster.

Slow? No freakin way. I want that needle in and out asap. I jab it in hard like a dart and yank it out as soon as Its emptied. Ugh. I hate shots

slow and i pay attention. i have hit enough nerves and stuff in my day to take my sweet as time. i have had docs hit stuff also and it pisses me off to no end. i can do it myself painless with no issues and very rarely do i have big ass knots or sore spots

slow and i pay attention. i have hit enough nerves and stuff in my day to take my sweet as time. i have had docs hit stuff also and it pisses me off to no end. i can do it myself painless with no issues and very rarely do i have big ass knots or sore spots

this is why i go slow too. if i hit something i want to know where it is and avoid it. going in at 120mph damage is done and i take too many shots to jack up a nerve over something I can easily avoid.

as many have said, i too go slow and steady. i just can't do the quick jab on myself. when my wife sticks back of tris for me she goes quick in and i have no issue but i am extremely specific on where she needs to stick it. i've hit nerves before and on one memorable glute stick the nerve got hit and when the pin came yanking back out a nice stream of blood came with it and nailed the white tile bathroom wall and the old lady had a fit.

Just something for the slow guys dont breath on any part of the pin that's going inside ya. it can lead to infection. nurse told me that and it makes sense.

I have been jabbing it fast for so many years I really dont think I could go slow. Pushing a needle in slow sounds like torture LOL

Good to know I'm not the only slow poke here. (Pun intended lol) I've tried going a little faster, but my mind just won't let me. Slow and steady.

All of my years of pinning, it's always super slow going in, even as I break the skin....never been able to jab it quickly

I hit a nerve or something in my outer quad years ago from jabbing and caused a indention in the muscle. Took a long ass time to correct it. Slow poke for me every time.
