  • NAC - Free Radical Protection

    Hey Guys,

    I've been using this stuff for 3 plus months now and I have to say that this is a product I can actually "see" working. I take this supplement five days a week(i dont take on weekends) and I can feel the difference. Im more happy, i feel better with more energy and most importantly i have a positive attitude and just feel great. I went on amazon and read a TON of product reviews and so many people say the same thing. I even read where someone stopped their anti depressants and just switched over to this stuff.

    I just wanted to share with you guys the benefits of NAC. How many of you guys use this?

    I have used for liver support but never stayed on it long enough to enjoy all those benefits. Plus I take it when I run my orals anadrol especially cause I feel like hammered shit on it. So don't think I would have I will give it ago again without the orals to see what happens

      i use the shit out of it year round. not only does it help protect the liver but it also does a ton of other good things in your body. now something most people dont know about it and this goes with anything that fights inflamation in your body. you need to take these things as far away from your training as you possibly can. they can and will interfere with your progress

          i train mid morning so i take mine at night before bed. the idea is to keep it as far away from when you train as possible. so if you train late in the evening then i would take it first thing in the am when i got up. i dont have to do that anymore so i go the other route haha

            Thanks for the info I train at 5 am so as soon as I get off work would be the best time for me.                   i get 100g powder for 2 or 3 bucks. the more i order or bigger bags the cheaper. i have yet to find anywhere cheaper than that. i get my ala and a bunch of other powders as well

                    Gonna pick up some as well. I didn't even think about it affecting training though, so will make sure to keep them as far apart as possible.

                      i use it too. great stuff. i do not think it matters as much when you take it. but it is good stuff and cheap too in bulk

                        completely wrong. anything that fights inflammation in your body is going to have a negative impact on muscle gain. you need inflammation in order to grow. couple really good papers out there on that very subject with nac studied as well as omega 3s

                            haha i actually wasnt being harsh man. it is more of a common sense thing or i thought because anything that fights or prevents damage/inflammation is going to be counter productive to muscle growth. now as far as it goes with your sport and not wanting to gain any extra lean tissue i dont think it would be as detremental and may even boost your performance. now the specific study i was pointing out with nac and omegas both and their ability to slow down or prevent muscle gain comes off a site that i pay to be a member of. if you want you can pm me and i can give you that site with the studies on it. i will do some googling around and pull that doc and see if he has any free papers as well.
                            something else that pops into mind is both glutamine and nsaids are said to do the same thing.

                            timing is everything for us. and from what the study pointed out, using anit-inflammatories should be done as far away from your training stimulus as possible. for me i train early-mid morning so i lump all my crap in before i go to bed between 730-9 pm. i train around 9 or 10 am. so that's as far away from training as i can get it. let me do some digging and i will put up that thread in a day or two
