Does anyone eat it on a regular basis? I have been shopping at a new store and the meats, and fish, are great. Grassfed Organic beef, and many other game meats. I decided to pick up some salmon, and it was real good and priced right. I really like many types of fish so I will be trying to eat more. they don't sell my favorite though, Walleye, soguess I will have to fish with my Dad,lol. This was bourbon glazed salmon and took me 10 minutes to cook and without stinking up the house, lol. You think it is okay to eat this 4 to 5 times a week? I know the mercury content in fresh salmon is on the low end so this is good

Thanks guns. I am not to worried about the fat content. I usually eat it with a sweet potato and asparagus so I guess I need the fat in the meal somewhere. How do you prepare yours?

we grill it on wood planks or i just straight up bake it in the oven. i squeeze a little lemon on top sometimes or another cool trick is to make a foil pouch squeeze a bit of lemon on top then put some herbs on top of the fish wrap it up tight and throw it on the grill. keeps it nice moist and infused the herbs in as well. i am not to picky with salmon because i actually like it

Just look out for farm raised baby, the antibiotics and dye they give those fish is scary. Not sure how accurate the buzz is but farm raised is suppose to be NOT good.
I still get it it anyway though, it's so good..lol
I love Swordfish, you know it's wild caught and tastes great! Pricey though.

              Re: salmon

I have tried to stay away from farm raised but its hard to find real wild salmon. Local grocery stores sell "atlantic" salmon ie farm raised but only sell frozen wild salmon. The frozen sucks

This says Atlantic but it sure is good. They have other salmon and many other fish there too. I will have to look next time. We actually live behind a Russian grocery store. Noone speaks English in there but they have every kind of fresh fish in there and I bet it is good. I may have to grab one of my daughters little Russian friends and have her go there with me,lol

I love salmon. I usually bake it in the oven and eat it at least a couple times a week. I just like the way salmon tastes. It's one of my favorites when it comes to fish.

i only eat wild caught. net raised salmon are fed cheaply and have higher levels of omega 6 with is pro inflamatory. and less good omega 3. also it is said the meat is softer due to its lack of exercise being raised in a big net and now roaming the ocean chasing prey.

still better than tilapia which is terrible

Since the other stuff ended up bothering me, I picked up some Wild caught Alaskan salmon yesterday. I am hoping this is good? Next I am trying the Wild caught Chilean Sea bass. I have had it before and it is yummy It is a bit pricey but since I am the only fish eater in the house, I will try it.
